Opsicle Terminal
Clock in and out on a tablet
Free
iPad
Redesigned in 1.1: who is due in, who is on break and who is on shift, side by side. Clock in with a PIN or a face.
Opsicle Terminal turns an iPad into a clock-in station for your team.
Mount it by the back door or the pass, and staff clock in and out with a four-digit PIN — or, if they choose to, with their face. Every punch lands in Opsicle straight away, against the shift the person was rota'd for, so payroll starts from what actually happened rather than from what was planned.
WHAT IT DOES
• Today's rota on screen — everyone due in, when they are due, and where they are up to
• Clock in, clock out, start and end a break, in one tap and a PIN
• Optional face recognition, opted into per person and revocable at any time
• Manager options behind a manager PIN: correct a missed punch, add a note, see who is on site
• Built to stay on the wall all day — landscape, full screen, nothing to sign into and nothing to time out
NOTHING PERSONAL IS STORED ON THE TABLET
The tablet is registered to one site with a pairing code from the Opsicle web app, and then holds a credential of its own. Nobody's login is kept on it, and no email or password is entered to set it up. If a tablet goes missing, revoke it in Settings and it is dead — including the face data cached on it.
FACE RECOGNITION IS OPTIONAL
It stays off until an employee has been shown what it does and has agreed with their own PIN. Frames are matched on the device, and only a mathematical template is kept — never a photograph. A PIN always works instead.
REQUIRES AN OPSICLE ACCOUNT
Opsicle Terminal is a companion to Opsicle, the operations platform for UK shift-based businesses. You need a subscription and a site to pair the tablet to.

A redesigned clock-in board: your team sorted into Due in, On break and On shift, so the next thing to do is always obvious.
Profile photos on the PIN and confirmation screens, so people can see it is really them clocking in. Managers can take one with the iPad's camera.
A clearer manager area, with each person's contact details, hours this week and emergency contact in one place.
Birthday and work anniversary greetings when someone clocks in on their day.
Tap to start now always opens today's board.
