This update began with a simple question: after finishing an article, how can you carry its presentation with you? Copying from Preview now preserves the active theme, including headings, body text, quotes, code blocks, tables, and background styling. Rich-text apps retain the presentation, while plain-text destinations automatically receive clean text. We also refined the transitions between Preview, Source, and Visual modes. MEditor now keeps your reading position more reliably, reduces unexpected jumps, and provides steadier navigation through long documents. The update adds more themes for long-form writing, technical documentation, night editing, accessibility, and WeChat publishing. It also improves table wrapping, preview width, Settings window placement, Markdown rendering, file handling, localization, and overall performance. MEditor helps you stay focused on the writing, not the formatting.

Version 1.3 Build 1 focuses on document reliability, long-form writing workflows, preview selection, workspace search, and export quality. Changes included in this build: 1. Preview mode now supports whole-document selection and copying. In Preview mode, press Command-A to select all rendered content, then press Command-C to copy it. Clicking inside the preview clears the whole-document selection. 2. External file handling has been improved. MEditor detects files modified, renamed, moved, or deleted outside the app. When necessary, the user can reconnect the moved file and safely reconcile local changes. 3. Undo and redo transaction handling has been improved, especially for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean IME composition. 4. Search now supports the current document, all open documents, and the opened workspace folder. Search options include case sensitivity, whole-word matching, regular expressions, and include or exclude file patterns. 5. The document outline now supports adjustable width, automatic hiding in narrow windows, current-heading tracking, and navigation between the outline and the editor or preview. 6. Selection statistics are now available for words, characters, and lines. Image export can use either the current selection or the complete document. 7. PDF, HTML, EPUB, and image export options have been expanded. Available options include paper size, orientation, margins, font size, table-of-contents placement, image width, scale, border, and transparent background. 8. Long-document analysis, file operations, workspace search, external-change reconciliation, and export preparation have been moved to background services where appropriate to improve responsiveness. Review steps for the new preview selection behavior: 1. Launch MEditor. 2. Create or open a Markdown document containing multiple paragraphs. 3. Select Preview from the mode selector. 4. Press Command-A. The complete preview content will be selected. 5. Press Command-C and paste into a compatible application to verify that the entire rendered document was copied. 6. Click inside the preview to clear the selection. MEditor does not require account registration or login. Core Markdown editing, preview, local file management, search, and export features work locally.
