Heliograph File Transfer
Transfer file across platforms
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Send files straight between two iPhones — Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or a QR
code. No account, no cloud, ever. Go Premium to remove ads —
$6.99/year, unlocks Mac too.
Send a file straight from your iPhone to another, with nothing in between.
Heliograph moves files device-to-device — over Bluetooth, your local
Wi-Fi network, or a flickering QR code the other phone reads with its
camera. There's no account to make, no cloud storage involved, and no
server anywhere in the middle. Your file goes from one phone to the
other, and nowhere else.
HOW IT WORKS
Open Heliograph on both phones. Pick Send on one and choose a file —
Heliograph starts offering it immediately, over everything it has. Pick
Receive on the other, and it listens on Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and camera all
at once. Whichever path the two phones can actually reach each other
with is the one it uses, automatically — you never have to choose a
transport yourself.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
• No account, no sign-up, no server — files move directly between the
two devices in the room
• Uses whatever's available: Bluetooth, local Wi-Fi, or a flickering QR
code read by the other phone's camera
• An interrupted transfer resumes where it left off instead of starting
over from zero
• Works with anything already on your phone — photos, videos, documents
ALSO ON MAC
Heliograph Premium unlocks the Mac version too — the same app, the same
way of sending a file, without needing either device on the same cable
or the same cloud account.
HELIOGRAPH PREMIUM
Heliograph is free to use on iPhone, supported by a couple of
unobtrusive ads — one when the app opens, one on the home screen.
Heliograph Premium ($6.99/year, auto-renews until cancelled, billed
through your Apple ID) removes both. Manage or cancel it any time in
Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions. The same subscription is
what unlocks Heliograph on Mac, where there's no free tier.
PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY
Camera: reading the flickering QR codes when receiving that way.
Photos: letting you choose a file to send. Bluetooth and local network:
finding the other phone and moving the file between them. Nothing is
accessed until you actually use it for that purpose — see the in-app
Privacy Policy for the full picture, including what Heliograph's ads
involve.
