Adjust the screen or app you mean to change. Lumadio puts external display controls and independent app audio in your Mac's menu bar.
Dim an external monitor on its own, turn down a single app, or save display and audio settings together. Keep everyday adjustments in one utility instead of changing your entire setup each time.
Use Lumadio in a wide range of languages. Version 1.0.1 completes in-app localization across supported languages and regional variants.
Choose how to adjust your displays
- Set brightness for each external display separately or adjust several together.
- Change resolution and refresh rate, or mirror your screen for a presentation.
- Use XDR brightness enhancement on compatible displays, or FaceLight to light your face during video calls.
Standard dimming darkens the image through software gamma. It does not change the monitor's physical backlight or turn off the panel, so it does not guarantee the same energy savings as reducing hardware backlight brightness.
Give each app its own controls
- Adjust volume or mute an app without muting the others.
- View audio levels in real time.
- Use Solo to keep only your selected app audible.
- Adjust left-right balance and normalize loudness.
- Choose a different audio output device for each app.
Save the settings you want to repeat
Customize scenes with display and app audio settings for work, movies, or presentations. Apply them with one click, global keyboard shortcuts, or the Shortcuts app.
Automations can respond when a configured app opens or your connected display combination changes. Audio activity from a configured meeting app can lower other apps' volume. This is a possible sign of a meeting, not confirmation that a call has started. Recording and streaming automation responds when the configured app launches, not when recording actually begins.
Presentation mode temporarily locks volume and display controls against accidental changes. Mute, Solo, and reset remain available.
Privacy and diagnostics
Diagnostic logs stay on your Mac and are not uploaded automatically. They leave the device only if you choose to export and share them.
