Kundli, Tithi & Festivals

A faster Calendar: months open at once, and Amanta no longer pauses. Moving from Lal Vakhs? Your saved dates come across in one tap. Sharda Panchang is a dedicated Kashmiri/Hindu lunar calendar (Panchang) app for tracking tithis, festivals, and important dates — accurate, fast, and built around how families actually use a panchang. CALENDAR See any month at a glance in a grid or list view, each day showing its tithi, lunar month and moon phase, and marking eclipses, the Sankranti and Panchak. Tap any day for the full detail: sunrise and sunset, moonrise and moonset, the nakshatra, the Moon's and Sun's zodiac signs with their crossing times, tithi transitions, and any saved dates or festivals — all in your city's correct local time. Choose Purnimant or Amant for the lunar month system, and First Ray or Middle Limb for the sunrise basis — both apply across the whole app, and a saved date remembers the basis it was created with. Print or share a branded calendar PDF — a single month, a full year, or a complete Samvat (Navreh to Navreh) — as a day-by-day list or the classic grid, with festivals and saved dates if you choose. Share a read-only link to exactly the view you're looking at, so a family member sees what you shared without it changing anything on their device. TITHI TRACKING (BIRTHDAYS & IMPORTANT DATES) Save a birthday or anniversary by date of birth or directly by tithi, and see when it falls each year going forward — the true purpose of a panchang for most families. Get reminders ahead of the date, in your city's local time. Export your saved dates with or without birth details, or share a subset by link or QR code — sending just the birthdays relevant to one side of the family. KUNDLI (BIRTH CHARTS) Any saved date with a birth time becomes a full birth chart: a traditional North Indian chart for all sixteen divisions (D1 to D60), each labelled with the life area it is read for. Tap the Lagna or any Graha for its longitude, Nakshatra, Nakshatra lord, motion and state — exalted, Moolatrikona, own sign, debilitated or combust. Yogas lists the named combinations in a chart, grouped by whether they help or harm and each showing the placement that caused it. Ashtakavarga gives bindu counts for all twelve signs and each Graha. KUNDLI MATCHING Compare any two saved charts on the classical 36-point Ashtakoot (Guna Milan) scale, with every factor explained. It also shows what the 36 points leave out — Kuja (Mangal) Dosha per chart, plus the Rajju, Vedha, Mahendra and Stree Deergha checks — because a total alone is a partial reading. Where traditions disagree the app says so, and attaches no pass/fail verdict. FESTIVALS A comprehensive festival calendar computed the same accurate way as everything else, including recurring monthly observances (Ekadashi, Ashtami, Purnima, Amavasya and more) with defaults that keep your list uncluttered unless you want it fuller. ECLIPSES Every solar and lunar eclipse, with the thing most sources omit: whether you can actually see it from where you are. Each shows its start-to-end window and duration, how deep it gets from your city and at its deepest anywhere on Earth, and Sutak where it applies — and none where it cannot be seen, because an eclipse nobody here can see carries no Sutak. A dedicated Eclipses page lists a year's Grahan, showing which cities are best placed for each and how far the centre of its track passes from you. HOME & AWAY CITIES Set a second "Away" city and flip the whole app between Home and Away — useful when tracking a panchang for family in another time zone. Reminders and saved-date timing account for both. COMPARE PANCHANG See the days in a year where a city's tithi differs from up to five others, and print one panchang for all of them. ACCURATE, PRIVATE, AND YOURS Every calculation — tithi, nakshatra, sunrise and sunset, moonrise and moonset, lunar month, eclipse timing and festival dates — comes from precise astronomical formulas, checked against NASA's published catalogues. Your saved dates stay on your device; nothing is uploaded unless you export or share it.

A faster Calendar The Calendar no longer pauses when you return to it or swipe to the next month: the months either side are prepared while you look at the one shown, and months you have already seen open at once. The Festivals tab opens at once too. With Amanta chosen, opening the Calendar could freeze the app for several seconds; it is now as quick as with Purnimanta. One page per paksha With "+1D" chosen, the Traditional PDF now fits each paksha on one page, as it already did with "24+ hr": the table uses short forms (S.6, U.Bhadra, 3:38+) to give the observances more room. Moving from Lal Vakhs The Panchang has moved from the Lal Vakhs app to Sharda Panchang. When you move your saved dates from Lal Vakhs with "Move to Sharda Panchang", Sharda Panchang now takes you back to Lal Vakhs once they are imported, so Lal Vakhs knows they arrived and stops asking you to move them. Thanks for using Sharda Panchang!
