Edition Ledger is the private studio ledger for printmakers, limited-edition photographers and illustrators. It answers one question the moment you need it: which numbered print is where, and what is its status?
Built around the way editions really work
• Edition number map: set an edition size and see every number from 1 to the last. Recorded copies show their status at a glance; open numbers stay open until you pull the print.
• Pencil notation: copies read the way you write them on the sheet, 12/50, with a signature mark for prints signed and numbered in pencil.
• Proofs that stay outside the edition: record A/P artist proofs, P/P printer's proofs, T/P trial proofs and H/C hors commerce impressions. Each kind keeps its own count and never uses up a number of the edition.
• Add a run: record a consecutive run of prints in one step, with one status, one location and one issue date.
• Close the edition: when the run is complete, close it so no further numbered copies can be added. Reopen it if you need to.
• Statuses: Available, Reserved, Sold, Gifted or Damaged, with a dated history of every change.
Know where every print lives
• Drawers and flat files: name the places you actually use, such as Drawer B, Flat File A, a portfolio box or the gallery shipping crate.
• Drawer check: open a drawer and confirm each expected print with Found here or Not found. Every check is logged on the print.
• Move prints in bulk: select many copies and change their status or location together.
• Find anything fast: search by title, number, 12/50, A/P, status or drawer, and filter by status or unplaced prints.
Photograph and document
• Take a photo with the camera or choose one from Photos, attached to the exact numbered copy.
• Create a one-page Artist Record PDF from the details you enter: artwork, medium, dimensions, year, edition, issue date, signed in pencil and your own reference number. It is a record you supply and does not verify authenticity, ownership or provenance.
• Export your whole inventory as a CSV file for spreadsheets and your own backups.
One inventory on iPhone and iPad
• Sign in to iCloud and your works, photos and records appear on your iPhone and iPad, with no extra account to create.
• Without iCloud the app works fully on a single device.
• Your data lives in your own iCloud account. We have no servers, no analytics and no advertising.
Made for artists who sell through fairs, open studios, small galleries and direct messages, and want a calm place to keep the numbers straight. Dark Mode, Dynamic Type and VoiceOver are supported.
Edition Ledger is a one-time paid download. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.
