Explore a little differently this update. • Minimap — A small map now fills in as you uncover the dungeon. Tap it to expand for a quick read of the layout, tap again to shrink it, or turn it off in Settings. • Darker dungeons, lit by torches — Runs begin with a much smaller view. Light torches to push back the shadows; light every torch to reveal the whole dungeon and earn a bonus. Sealed secret rooms stay hidden. • More to discover by tapping — New finds in both Acts: brush off dusty murals, knock on cracked walls, and turn carved stones in Act I; restore broken pottery, guide water channels, and align a star observatory in Act II. Each rewards you once. • Clearer rewards — The XP you earn from unearthing cacao, digging up treasure, and filling an offering bowl now appears right in the message. • Fairer spirit bell — The bell grants its blessing once per dungeon, with a proper chime, instead of rewarding endless ringing. • Comfier reading — Large Text opens in a big, centered, padded panel, and long passages scroll smoothly without the joystick getting in the way. • Fixes — The Begin/Continue button now updates when you switch languages, and labels shrink to fit longer translations so nothing gets cut off. Also removed an unused pause icon.

What's New — v2 (Special Edition update) New features - Large Text accessibility mode: fullscreen, scrollable, bigger-text modals; toggle from the Start screen or pause menu. The preference persists and survives "Clear Saved Journey." - Dedicated fresco modal: longer lore now opens in a large, scrollable reading panel (with a "Scroll ▸ / Interact ▸" hint). - Keep Exploring: after clearing a dungeon's relics you choose to stay or move on. Staying grants a temporary full-map reveal and adds a Next Dungeon / I'm Ready button; the reveal clears when you move on. - Endless ranks past level 8: Wayfarer, Star-Reader, Calendar-Keeper, Story-Keeper, each awarding a new footstep trail (Stardust, Jade Leaves, Dawn Sparks) shown in the Journal. - More lore: expanded frescos and wall text, plus four new act-aware decor types — observatories, world trees, day-count stones, and cenotes (with real Maya astronomy, cosmology, and long-count context). - Richer interactions: - Statues now take three taps, with a rising stone-knock sound, an interact-button pulse, and a larger colored "Tap" hint. - Reading lore floats a glowing icon of that decor type above your head, then a swipe-up hint; finishing it (swipe, tap, or timeout) flies the icon into the lore meter. - Level-up celebration: a large, multicolor "LEVEL UP!" / "RANK UP!" banner with a golden particle burst. Improvements - Save format bumped to v4; older v1–v3 saves migrate automatically. - Journal now shows your current rank and rank milestones. - Full English + Latin American Spanish parity for all new text. Bug fixes - Fixed the main-menu top-right buttons (Language, Large Text, Clear Saved Journey) overlapping and colliding when their labels changed size between languages — they now auto-space in a properly anchored row. - Hidden-room fresco reads now track separately per room (were sharing one slot). - Enlarged and outlined the statue "Tap" hint so it reads clearly.
