Catalog your physical letterpress type on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Photograph cases and specimens, find a drawer fast, count sorts, and check a line before setting it. TypeCase Ledger helps letterpress printers and type collectors keep track of the metal and wood type they actually own. Build a searchable catalog of cabinets, cases, and entries, with photos and practical details at hand when you are at the press or sorting a drawer. ORGANIZE YOUR TYPE • Arrange your collection by studio, cabinet, and case. • Record typefaces, borders, ornaments, mixed cases, and unidentified material. • Save foundry, point size, material, condition, location, notes, and specimen photos. • Search by name, foundry, size, material, or location. Filter unidentified entries while you work through them. PLAN A SETTING Record known quantities for individual characters without confusing an uncounted sort with a count of zero. Check a proposed line against your recorded sorts, including repeated characters. Choose whether numbers and punctuation are counted. WORK ACROSS DEVICES The iPhone and iPad versions are useful by the type cabinet; the Mac version gives you more room to browse and edit the catalog. With iCloud enabled and the same Apple Account, catalog details and photos sync through your private iCloud database. You can still use the app locally when offline; changes sync when a connection is available. No TypeCase account is required. TAKE YOUR CATALOG WITH YOU Create a multi-page PDF specimen catalog or a ZIP containing five CSV files for your studios, cabinets, cases, entries, and glyph counts. Share an export only when you choose to do so. Photos can be selected through the system photo picker; iPhone and iPad also support taking a photo. Start free with up to three cases. A single non-consumable Lifetime Unlock enables unlimited cases, glyph counts, line checking, and exports across your devices when using the same App Store purchase account. Restore purchases is available in Settings. No ads or analytics SDK. Your catalog is stored on your devices and, when iCloud is enabled, in your private iCloud database; TypeCase does not operate a catalog server.
