A RAW developer for majority of your camera files. CaptureMood catalogs and develops RAW files on your own disk. The catalog is an index rather than a vault: delete it and every original is still in its folder, every edit still readable, because edits are written as plain text in a small sidecar beside the file they describe. Copy the folder to another Mac and the work opens the way you left it. Built for photographers who come home with a card full of frames and want them culled, developed and delivered without a subscription, a sign-in, or an upload. LIBRARY Point CaptureMood at folders you already have. It watches them, so frames added on the desktop appear in the app. Collections, smart collections, keywording and batch metadata are there when a shoot needs organising, and out of the way when it does not. CULL Two frames side by side with linked or independent zoom, so the choice between two nearly identical exposures is made by looking rather than guessing. Pick, reject and rate from the keyboard or from the buttons. Sharpness comparison helps when the difference is one blink. DEVELOP A RAW pipeline in extended-range half float, rendered on Metal. Basic tone, seven-point curves per channel, hue-sector colour with skin tone protection, detail and noise, lens corrections, crop and geometry, monochrome with a spectral mix, and retouch with spot, clone and heal. Masks come from Vision on your own machine: subject, sky, skin, hair, teeth and glasses, each editable afterwards, plus radial, gradient and brush. Apple ProRAW files get their own panel, driven by Apple's own RAW engine, with the controls that particular file actually supports and none of the ones it does not. PROFILES AND PRESETS Fifty-seven camera profiles across twelve manufacturers, matched from the file's own metadata so a Canon frame and a Fujifilm frame do not open from the same starting point. Forty-eight colour and monochrome recipes, unbranded and restrained, meant as places to begin rather than claims about any particular emulsion. EXPORT Reusable recipes that write several outputs from one run: sizes, formats, colour spaces, output sharpening, watermark, naming tokens and conflict rules. JPEG, PNG and TIFF with 16-bit and LZW or ZIP compression.
