Corlys is a journal where you speak or type an entry in seconds. If you want, entries arrive in your own systems without any copying.
Corlys has no servers of its own. Your entries live on your device and in your private iCloud, with no account, no tracking and no ads. The AI Corlys uses comes from Apple.
CAPTURE QUICKLY
• The widget starts dictation right away. Spoken text appears live.
• Your words stay as you said them: Corlys does not summarize or rewrite.
• Every recording can be played back.
PRIVATE
• Transcription runs on your device.
• Short titles and the coach use Apple Intelligence: on device or through Apple’s Private Cloud Compute. Only text goes there, never audio.
• Sync uses only your private iCloud, with no account.
• Webhooks receive only what you set up.
• Optionally, Face ID locks the journal.
OPEN TO YOUR SYSTEMS
• Webhooks send entries to your own addresses: as text (Markdown) or audio, automatically or with a tap.
• For example to Obsidian, n8n, Todoist, or any automation that accepts webhooks.
JOURNAL
• Timeline, calendar, map, and a view of all the photos in your journal.
• Photos, location, date, and time for each entry; formatted text.
• Import from Day One (JSON export).
• 17 languages. A dictation lasts up to ten minutes; dictation languages depend on Apple’s speech recognition.
COACH
• After a new entry: a follow-up question and small steps.
• In an entry, on request: its opinion, insights, the tasks it hears, an approach, and answers to your own questions.
• Take tasks on as plans and tick them off.
• A weekly review with themes and mood.
• “Ask your journal” answers with links to the entries.
• Not a therapist, no texts for publishing. Can be turned off.
FREE AND SUBSCRIPTION
The journal with dictation, sync, import, and webhooks is free. The coach is a subscription, yearly or monthly. Its first ten answers are free.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage and cancel it in your account settings.
APPLE SPEECH RECOGNITION
Corlys relies entirely on Apple for speech recognition. It runs right on your device; your recordings are not uploaded anywhere for it.
• Apple’s newest speech model: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese including Cantonese.
• Apple’s proven dictation model for all other languages, such as Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese. Accuracy may vary a little here.
