Faster, and up to date by itself. Photos load much faster and stay on your phone, so a dish you have seen opens at once. New dishes from your friends and anything new in Activity show up on their own, without pulling to refresh. Tapping a notification opens what it is about: the dish, its comments or the person. Frame your profile photo in its circle before you keep it, and tap any profile photo to see it large. In Activity, tap someone's photo to open their profile. A new switch, When friends share: hear when someone you follow shares their first dish of the day. At most 3 a day, never at night. The language is now a menu in Settings, and every name reads in full.

A reason to come back every day. Plans. Pick a place and a time, invite your people, and afterwards the plan keeps what everyone ate. The app books nothing: it is where friends agree. Streaks. Add the recipe to any dish, now or later. See a dish you want to make? Ask for the recipe and you hear when it arrives. Cooked it? Share yours and it links back to whoever wrote the recipe. A recipe from a public account also has a page on the web to send to anyone. Vibes and levels. Sharing a dish, keeping your streak, writing a recipe and having it cooked earn vibes. Likes earn nothing. Vibes take you from Kitchen hand to Chef, and each level opens something to wear: a frame for your photo, a theme for your profile, an app icon. There is nothing to buy. Replies and likes on comments. Answer a comment right under it, like the ones you agree with, and hear when someone answers or likes yours. Challenges among friends. Pick a theme, invite your people and give it 3 or 7 days. Only the people in it can enter, and only their likes decide who wins. We also updated the privacy policy: FOODVIBE now uses your time zone, so your day starts and ends on your clock.

Your profile photo now stays: it is saved with your account, so it no longer disappears after a refresh or a new sign-in. Choosing the monogram removes the photo from your account too.

Photos no longer flash a dark frame before they appear. The location picker searches real places near you and keeps the venue's own town. Usernames: letters, numbers, dots and underscores only, and you see right away if one is taken.

Search now finds anyone on PLATE., by name or by username. Fixed the error that stopped feeds and profiles from loading once someone had uploaded a photo.
