【What it does】
Pick your own video from Files or Photos, or enter a local SMB share and browse folders to play. It plays MKV files other apps can't preview and auto-attaches SRT subtitles when they share the same name and folder. m3u8 playlists and specified web-video URLs can be pasted to discover and play.
【How to use】
1. Local: tap the plus to pick a file or photo
2. NAS: enter address and share name on the same Wi-Fi, then browse folders
3. Web / m3u8: paste a link and it auto-resolves and plays
4. Tap to play; matching SRT subtitles show automatically
【Privacy】
No account, no uploads. SMB passwords stay in the device keychain. Web links are parsed locally and never reported to a server.
Privacy Mode: hide any video / link / folder with one tap; unlock with device passcode or system biometrics.
【For whom】
Anyone with a NAS or PC share who wants to watch their own videos on iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple TV without transcoding first.
【Know before you start】
• Plays only files you already own on your device or local network share
• No cloud drives, no poster walls, and no guarantee for every obscure codec
• Guest Wi-Fi often blocks device discovery — use your home network
• Not a media library with posters

Improved the Add Share flow:
• LAN scanning now starts automatically when you open Add Share
• Tapping a scan result fills in the address and matches saved credentials by hostname
• The Connect button is docked to the bottom and stays visible above the keyboard, with a hint when the address is still empty
