Build interactive e-learning and publish to any LMS. Works offline, open format, translation built in. The first three published packages are free. Authoring tool for interactive e-learning: slides, quizzes, SCORM. Everything happens on your own machine — no virtual machine, no cloud account, no browser tab, no seat to negotiate — and what comes out is a SCORM 1.2 conformant package any LMS can read, or plain HTML5 for any web server. Today that work is done inside a Windows tool, or in a browser someone else owns. Fabula is the native alternative, and it works offline. BUILT LIKE A REAL APP, NOT A WEB PAGE Toolbar and inspector, not a ribbon. A canvas with guides, snapping, alignment and grouping; a timeline on every slide; layers, states and triggers in panels of their own. Multi-window, keyboard shortcuts everywhere, light and dark. INTERACTIONS WITHOUT CODE Triggers read like sentences: do this, when that happens, if a condition holds. Buttons, hotspots, check boxes, radio groups, text fields, sliders, dials, markers, scrolling panels, tables, links inside text and grouped objects — each with its own states, each reachable from the keyboard. QUESTIONS AND BANKS Ten question types, feedback per answer, scoring and results slides. Banks draw questions at random. Import from CSV or TSV. Score, completion and every typed interaction go back to the LMS, and a learner who leaves halfway comes back to the same slide. TRANSLATION IS NOT AN AFTERTHOUGHT One project, many languages. Segment IDs are stable and never regenerated, so version two reuses version one. Export XLIFF 1.2 and import it back with a report for every segment: what changed, what was dropped, what no longer fits the space. Batch asset kits per language. Pseudo-localization, so you see what breaks before the translator does. Right-to-left included. ACCESSIBLE BY DESIGN Roles, focus order and alt text live in the data, not in a checkbox at export time. Every interaction works from the keyboard, drag-and-drop included. The export report audits accessibility and names what is missing. AN OPEN FORMAT A project is a folder of readable JSON with published schemas, media files with human names you can replace from the Finder, and the full undo history on disk. Diff it, script it, keep it in version control. Nothing is a proprietary binary blob, and nothing needs Fabula to be read. WHAT LEARNERS GET Real text in the page, never text baked into an image — searchable, selectable, and readable by a screen reader. A runtime under 300 KB gzipped. Themes with colour and type slots, a configurable player, slide transitions, animations and motion paths, audio with captions. Tested inside a real learning management system, not a simulator. AI THAT WORKS INSIDE YOUR PROJECT Switch on the local assistant bridge and an AI agent composes slides through the same commands you use. Every step lands in the same undo stack, and you watch it happen in your own window. Off by default, local only, never a cloud round trip. SUBSCRIPTION Composing, previewing, translating and exporting your project file are free, always. Publishing is what the subscription pays for — and the first three published packages are free. Monthly and yearly plans are available; the price for your region is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and your account is charged for the renewal within those 24 hours. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. When a subscription lapses, your projects still open and still export.
