How long people who answer like you tend to live — and how many of those years they typically stay healthy. It all stays on the phone. Most people know roughly how long they might live. Almost nobody knows how many of those years are likely to be healthy ones — and that second number is the one worth doing something about. Good Years asks about ten things: smoking, blood pressure, movement, drink, weight, sleep and diet among them. It takes about three minutes. Then it shows you two figures side by side: how long people who answered like you live on average, and how long they typically stay in good health. The distance between them has a name. It is years lived in less than full health, and across whole populations it runs to about a decade. Good Years shows you yours next to the ordinary figure for your country, so you can see whether it is unusual or simply normal. WHAT YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT Try a change and watch both numbers move. Quitting smoking, walking most days, drinking less, sleeping seven to eight hours — each one is priced in healthy years, drawn from studies that followed hundreds of thousands of people for decades. Every figure comes with the research behind it, in plain language, one tap away. GOOD YEARS PRO A one-off purchase, no subscription. It adds the retirement view (how many good years typically follow the age you plan to stop working), the full playground where changes combine, a band-by-band look at where your own answers sit in the model, reminders for more than one change at a time, and a shared view for you and a partner. IT NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE No account. No sign-in. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no third-party code that collects anything. The app makes no network requests at all, and works in aeroplane mode. Deleting the app deletes everything, and there is a "Delete everything" button in Settings if you would rather not wait. A NOTE ON THE NUMBERS Good Years is an educational wellness app. The estimates it shows are based on WHO population statistics and published long-term cohort studies — they describe averages across large groups of people and are shown as ranges, never as a prediction about any individual. Good Years does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for consulting a health professional. Everything runs on your device: no account, no data collection, ever.

FOUR LANGUAGES Norwegian Bokmål, German and Danish join English. Good Years follows whatever language your phone is already set to — there is nothing to choose and nothing to download. A WIDGET For the Lock Screen and the Home Screen: what you are working on, and when your next check-in is due. It shows no figures, on purpose. A FOURTH OPTIONAL QUESTION, FREE FOR EVERYONE Walking pace joins the optional questions — the ones the interview does not ask by default, about things with good evidence behind them that nobody can simply decide to change. They are all free now, and they sit together in one place instead of two. Answering one sharpens the estimate and can move it in either direction. None of them is offered as a change to try. 52 MORE COUNTRIES Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, Greenland, the Faroes and most small territories were missing from the country list, because the healthy-years figure that WHO publishes for most countries is not published for them. They are all in the list now. Where that second figure cannot be shown honestly it is left out rather than guessed at, and everything that does not rest on it works as it does everywhere else — the estimate, the changes worth trying, the view of the years after you stop working, and reminders. SMALLER THINGS A redrawn app icon. Some estimates have shifted a little, where a figure was corrected against its source. Check-ins you have already made keep the numbers you were shown at the time.
