Lock distracting apps with any NFC tag, then leave the tag downstairs or by the front door. Unlocking means walking to it. No special device to buy.
App limits are easy to skip when the unlock is one tap away. Rune puts it somewhere you have to walk to.
Connect any compatible NFC tag, such as an ordinary sticker or card, as your physical Rune and leave it downstairs, by the front door, or in a drawer. Rune blocks the apps you choose, and to unlock them you go to the tag and tap it with your iPhone. There is no special device to buy.
FOCUS MODE
• Choose the apps, categories, and websites to block.
• Start a boundary by tapping your physical Rune.
• End it the same way when you are ready.
• No tag yet? The Virtual Rune built into your iPhone works in the meantime. Turn it off later so every start and unlock takes a physical scan.
AUTOMATIC RULES
• Set a daily time limit for selected apps.
• Block apps during the hours and days you choose.
• Unlock temporarily, then let the rule return on its own.
RUNE FREE AND RUNE PRO
Rune is free to use with one physical Rune, the Virtual Rune, manual boundaries for any apps, and up to three automatic rules.
Rune Pro adds unlimited automatic rules and more than one physical Rune, for a desk, a bedside table, and a front door. Rules and Runes you set up before Rune Pro stay free.

• No account and no ads.
• Rune uses Apple's Screen Time controls to shield apps and websites at the system level.
A physical Rune needs a compatible NFC tag and an iPhone that can scan NFC. NFC tags are not included. Screen Time access is required to block apps and websites.
RUNE PRO
Rune Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription or a one-time purchase. Plans and prices are shown in the app.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and you can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings. If a plan includes a free trial, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
