A study aid for the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam, exam code SAA-C03. It is built around design decisions: a stated requirement, several things a team could plausibly do about it, and the one that meets the requirement.
WHAT IS INSIDE
35 topics, each mapped to one of the 14 published task statements across the four domains, carried in the published proportions: Design Secure Architectures 30%, Design Resilient Architectures 26%, Design High-Performing Architectures 24%, Design Cost-Optimized Architectures 20%. Two lessons per topic, 70 lessons in total. The first teaches the idea with a diagram of the mechanism, one diagram per topic, and the second applies it to a case. 175 original practice questions, 105 flashcards and 70 glossary entries.
HOW THE QUESTIONS ARE WRITTEN
Each topic is asked five ways: which design meets the requirement, which rule should have prevented the weakness, which record shows how the corrected workload is configured, which measure shows the design is holding, and the same design decision again in applied form. Named services carry the question: EC2 and IAM roles, S3 lifecycle rules, SQS, Route 53 health checks, Multi-AZ failover, gp3 provisioned IOPS, Savings Plans and Spot. Every explanation states why the keyed answer meets the requirement and what kind of mistake the wrong answers make. Each item has one correct answer out of four. The real exam also uses multiple-response items, with two or more correct answers, and this app has none of those.
ANSWER ORDER AND ANSWER TELLS
Every option in the bank is authored content. The wrong answers are near misses written for the same topic, or real design decisions taken from other topics. Options are dealt into a stable per-question order, so no position becomes a habit. The app measures the strategies that would let someone score without reading the question, including answer length, punctuation, repeated wording and how often an option appears, and holds each of them under 40%, where guessing scores 25%.
PRACTICE AND REVIEW
A timed practice form of 50 original questions in 100 minutes, drawn in the published domain proportions. Interactive scenario activities, sorting, sequencing and matching, four per domain, 16 in total. Spaced repetition that resurfaces what you got wrong. Progress by domain, bookmarks and search.
WHAT IS FREE
12 lessons, 12 questions and 12 flashcards in total, spread across the four domains, plus the 8 glossary entries that match those flashcards and one scenario activity per domain. The free selection is fixed. It is usable without paying, without an account and without a network connection.
WHAT THE UNLOCK ADDS
One payment unlocks the full catalog: all 70 lessons, all 175 questions with worked explanations, all 105 flashcards, all 70 glossary entries, all 16 scenario activities, timed practice and spaced review of every item. There is no subscription.
HOW IT BEHAVES
Fully offline. No account, no sign-up, no network needed, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, no data collection of any kind.
ABOUT THE EXAM
The exam is 65 questions (50 scored, 15 unscored) in 130 minutes, passing at 720 on a 100 to 1000 scale. Items are multiple choice or multiple response. AWS certifications expire after three years. This app is an independent study aid and makes no claim to simulate the official exam. It makes no score prediction and offers no pass guarantee.

Version 1.0.1 corrects the content and the free tier.
Answer keys: the S3 class activity now files workbooks opened twice a month under S3 Standard, which costs less than Standard-IA at that access rate, and two load balancer items no longer show a second correct answer among the wrong ones.
Facts: gp3 IOPS limits, gp3 on EC2 against RDS, CloudFront TTL handling against origin headers, Amazon Data Firehose naming, the recovery-time example, policy evaluation within and across accounts, and secret caching during rotation are corrected.
Questions: record and measure questions now include the full case, with wrong answers written for the same topic, and every rule question names a rule that addresses the weakness in the stem.
Free tier: the glossary shows the 8 terms that match the free flashcards, and the unlock opens all 70.
Fixes: each topic has its own diagram, the timed practice tile shows 100 minutes, the Suggested next card opens the domain it names, and the paywall lists only what the purchase adds.
