Studiobooks is the back office for app and software studios. It runs the paperwork between winning a piece of work and getting paid for it, and gives every client one place to see what you have sent them. WHAT STUDIOBOOKS DOES Proposals. Write them in the app, send a link, and the client accepts or declines online. You can see when it was opened. Contracts. Service agreements with a monthly amount, a build fee if there is one, and the order form your client signs. Monthly billing. A billing run raises the month's invoices from your contracts, numbered in sequence. VAT is added if you are registered and left alone if you are not. Invoices and credit notes. Issued from the app, emailed to the client, and marked paid or part paid as the money comes in. Credit control. Who owes what, how overdue it is, and the chasing emails, in one list. A client portal. Your clients sign in with the address you send documents to and see their proposals, invoices, apps and shared documents. It carries your logo and your colours, not ours. SETTING UP A few minutes: company details, VAT position, bank details for the invoice footer, logo and colours, and a first client. Everything can be changed later in Settings. Your document numbering is your own and does not run alongside anyone else's. WHO IT IS FOR Small studios that build apps and software for other businesses, and their clients. If a studio has sent you a proposal or an invoice, sign in with the address it came to and it will be waiting for you. PRIVACY No analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Sign in with Apple is supported. Each company's records are visible only to that company's staff and to the clients they have been shared with. Bank details and VAT numbers are held server side and never sent to the browser. Studiobooks is made in Buckinghamshire by EdwardsApps, a trading name of KAE Ltd. It also runs on the web, so the same account works at a desk.
