Used Car Inspection Checklist

37 checks, notes & PDF report

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Inspect a used car with 37 guided checks. Record defects with notes and photos. A one-time unlock adds PDF reports, multiple cars and custom branding. Shopping for a used car in Germany or Austria? Take a guided checklist to the viewing and keep your observations in one place. The app walks you through 37 fixed checkpoints across six sections, in the order you inspect the car. Each one includes a short tip, such as checking a tire's DOT date, looking for paint overspray on rubber seals, or noting whether warning lights go out after startup. CHECK THE CAR, STEP BY STEP • Papers & history: registration certificate (Fahrzeugschein / ZB Teil I), service book and roadworthiness test (HU) due date. • Body & paint: rust, panel gaps and signs of repainting. • Tires & brakes: tread, tire age, wear and visible brake condition. • Interior & electronics: seats, controls and warning lights. • Under the hood: fluid levels, leaks and the 12 V starter battery. • Test drive: cold start, steering, braking and transmission. MAKE A RECORD Set each checkpoint to OK, Defect or Not checked. Unchecked items remain visible in the summary and report. Write unlimited notes. When you mark a defect, describe its location and severity, then take photos or select them from your library; you can remove them later. Log the make, model, first registration, mileage, advertised asking price exactly as typed, private seller or dealer, seller name, viewing date and time, and location. Each section tracks progress and defects. The summary shows totals, results by section, a consolidated defect list with notes and photo counts, and a field for price-negotiation notes. ONE CAR OR SEVERAL All 37 checkpoints are available for one car, with unlimited notes and up to five photos. The on-screen report preview stays available with a diagonal 'VORSCHAU' watermark and no photo appendix. One permanent in-app purchase unlocks: • An A4 PDF report generated on the device, ready to share, print or save to Files. • A cover with car and seller details, results and every checkpoint's status and notes, plus defects and negotiation notes. • A photo appendix grouped by checkpoint and unlimited photos per car. • Several cars in a list, each with its own checklist and report. • Your logo, name or company and address or contact details on the exported PDF; a small logo on each page and no app credit line. This is a one-time unlock, not a subscription. Restore the purchase on other devices with the same Apple ID. YOUR DATA STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE Car details, notes, photos and branding are stored only on your device. No account, login, server or analytics. Inspections work offline; buying or restoring through the App Store requires a connection. Runs on iPhone and iPad, with German and English interfaces. IMPORTANT This is your own condition record from a viewing, not an official vehicle inspection or expert appraisal. It does not value a car, calculate a purchase price, verify vehicle history or mileage, issue a buy/no-buy recommendation, or give legal advice. It does not replace an inspection by a qualified organisation or workshop.
