WanderWay 2.4 gets your next drive ready when you are. • Drives in CarPlay: From Go in CarPlay, pick a Curated Drive of about one or two hours, or a Sunset Drive in the hours before sunset. WanderWay plans it, and you tap Start. • Ask Siri for a Drive: Say "Start a Sunset Drive in WanderWay" or "Go for a Sunday drive with WanderWay". Siri plans the drive, and you tap Start, on CarPlay's screen too. • Restrooms: Find restrooms nearby from Where to? on iPhone or from Go in CarPlay. Each one says where it is, such as a park, a rest area or a gas station, and shows whether there's a fee and wheelchair access when that's known. • Main Roads Home After Dark: When a Sunset Drive would bring you home after dark, WanderWay plans the way back on main roads, with a heads-up about deer. • Skip Places You've Heard Recently: On a drive, places you've heard about in the last 7 days now stay quiet, so your usual roads don't repeat. It's on from the start, under Points of Interest in Settings. • Smart Stack and Dashboard: The Live Activity now has a layout made for your Apple Watch's Smart Stack and the CarPlay Dashboard: your next turn and the time left, or the place being told about. • Show Current Weather: A new switch under Map in Settings hides the temperature above the arrival time in CarPlay. The forecast for where you're going stays. • A Nearby list that follows your finger: Drag it from anywhere along its top and flick it open or closed. It now fits on screen at every size, including an iPhone on its side. • Controls and Shortcuts: A Just Passed control for Control Center, and Sunset Drive and Curated Drive shortcuts. • Unlocked, Even Offline: WanderWay remembers your unlock and your free trial, so a slow or offline start no longer shows them as locked. • Curated Routes plan more reliably in busy cities, and tell you when Apple Maps is busy instead of waiting. • Better on iPad: Press and hold one of My Places or a recent place in Where to? for its menu. Skip and Hear its story on a walking tour, and the small buttons over the map, now respond to every tap. • Fixes: Journal and Passport count states, provinces and countries correctly in more places, the Passport widget shows the whole milestone title, and a quick tap on Start right after planning a route now starts the drive. WanderWay 2.3 keeps the stories going and makes every drive easier to share. • Narrate in the background: Turn on Keep Narrating in the Background and WanderWay watches for your next drive, even with your phone locked. On iPhone, a Live Activity shows what's being told, with a Stop button. • Share your Photo Recap: See a drive as a summary, a timeline and your photos, then share it as a picture or a short video. Hide places leaves out names and the map. • Open in your maps app: Send a route or place to Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze, or share a route as a GPX file. • Opening hours: More historic places in the US now show when they're open. • A brighter map: New pin colors, a star for featured places, one bar for search, filters and radius, and route chips with distance, time and stops. Richer panels in Dark Mode. • Easier choices: All, Drive-By and None category presets with Save as My Default, and a tap to widen the search when nothing's nearby. • Passport stamps in each category's color, and a route map on every Journal trip. • Crash reports: Send one from Settings. No locations, and it leaves your phone only when you send it. • Regional voices for Mexican Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. • Smoother driving map: The map glides as it follows you, like Apple Maps, even with Nearby pulled up. The route card is shorter and centered, so you see more of the road. • CarPlay arrival weather: A small weather chip sits just above the arrival time, a weather line appears under your next turn, and a trip preview shows the weather at arrival before you tap Start. • CarPlay pins group like on iPhone: Pins that are close together merge into one pin with a count, and more pins appear on the map overall. • Fixes: playgrounds inside parks no longer appear twice, Cancel in the drive builder is never covered, tapping the Live Activity opens WanderWay, and scenic byways appear only in the US, where they're mapped. WanderWay 2.2 is for walks as well as drives. • iPhone Duo Compatibility • Walking Tours: plan a 30-, 60-, or 90-minute walk from stop to stop and follow it on foot, with the places along the way. • Sunset Drives: pick a viewpoint, park, lake, or beach, and WanderWay tells you when to leave so you arrive before sunset. • Photo Recap: when a drive or a walk ends, see the route, visit stamps, and photos from along the way. The photos stay on your device. • More places: Zoo & Aquarium, Military History, Sports Courts, Waterfall, Lighthouse, Orchard & Farm Market, and Cemetery. On cellular data, it asks first. • Fresher places: places you've already loaded refresh in the background once they're a week old, or when newer place data is out. • Redeem Code: have an App Store offer code? Redeem it from the unlock screen or in Settings. • Choose your map: Standard, Satellite, or Hybrid. WanderWay 2.1.1 lets you add a stop without ending your drive, keeps your own places a tap away, and now speaks Italian. ADD A STOP • While navigating, tap the search button in the guidance controls to find any place: a nearby sight, one of My Places, a recent, a favorite, or anything on Apple Maps. Results show how many minutes each one adds. • Tap Add Stop to make it your next stop, or Add at Best Spot to fit it in after a stop you already planned. Guidance carries on while the new route is built, then tells you the place was added. • Go Here Now replaces your route, and asks you first. • In CarPlay, Add a Stop is at the top of the Route list while you navigate, with search, voice search, My Places and favorites. MY PLACES • Save Home, Work and up to four places of your own in Where to?, and start a drive to any of them with one tap, in CarPlay too. • Or say "Take me home with WanderWay" to Siri. WHAT DID I JUST PASS? • While you drive, tap the button on the map or Just Passed in CarPlay, or ask Siri "What did I just pass in WanderWay?", to hear about the place you just drove by. BETTER VOICES • Choose iPhone Voice in Settings to hear the voice you picked in Read & Speak for directions. • Get a Better Voice, in Settings, shows you how to download an Enhanced or Premium voice. SCENIC DETOURS & SUNDAY DRIVES • Spend up to 40 extra minutes on a detour, and WanderWay picks up to four sights along your way. • A curated drive to a nearby destination now uses the time you pick, and wanders as far as your Stay Within setting allows. NOW IN ITALIAN & MADE FOR IPAD • WanderWay speaks Italian, from its menus to spoken directions and Siri. • On iPad, WanderWay fills the screen in any orientation, with the map edge to edge. ROAD TRIP JOURNAL & PASSPORT • The stops you plan and your destination now count as visited when you reach them. • Covered bridges, overlooks, parks and other places you see from the road or reach by a parking lot now count from farther away when you slow down or stop near them. Passing at highway speed doesn't count. • Parking in a stop's lot now counts as arriving, without a reroute. PLACES & MAP • The categories menu stays open while you choose, so you can Hide All, then pick a few. • A new report reason: "Place doesn't exist." FIXES • Fixed a crash when CarPlay disconnected the instrument cluster map. • More reliable guidance when you add or change stops during a drive. • Scenic Detours no longer suggest a detour that's shorter than your planned route. • If directions get stuck on a turn, WanderWay reroutes within 10 seconds.

WanderWay 2.0 brings more to discover on every drive: stories about the places you pass, scenic detours, a journal of your drives, and a fresh new look. STORY MODE • Hear a short story about places as you approach them. Turn it on in Settings › Points of Interest › Narration Length › Story. • With Apple Intelligence, stories are written on your iPhone from the place's description. Other iPhone models read a shortened description. • On a place page, tap "Listen to the story" to hear it right away. NARRATE WITHOUT A ROUTE • No destination? Turn on Settings › Points of Interest › Narrate Without a Route, open WanderWay, and drive. Nearby places, and their stories, are spoken as you pass. It keeps going with your iPhone locked and stops when you park. SCENIC DETOURS • Planning a route or a Sunday Drive? Tap "Make this drive more scenic" and choose +10, +20, or +30 minutes. • WanderWay picks up to three sights along your way, favoring covered bridges, viewpoints, historic sites, and US scenic byways. You see the extra time and new route on a map before adding them. • Generated drives and detours skip churches unless you prioritize Historic Worship. ROAD TRIP JOURNAL • Each drive you navigate is saved with the roads you drove, its distance and time, the places you passed, and the states or provinces it crossed. • Show the photos you took along the way on the drive's page. They stay in your photo library. • Share Drive turns any drive into a picture card with its route map, stats, and places. PASSPORT • Collect stamps for covered bridges, museums, viewpoints, and 12 more kinds of places. • Track milestones for drives, miles, places passed, and states and provinces. • A new Passport widget shows your progress and next milestone on the Home Screen. A FRESH NEW LOOK • New colors, map pins, and place pages, in light and dark. • Busy maps stay readable: pins spread out, and a "+N" count marks spots with more places. Tap it to zoom in. • Route previews no longer hide under the route bar. • Curated Routes, the Library, Settings, and the Nearby panel are redesigned. • The category button is back at the top of the map: show or hide kinds of places in one tap. ON THE ROAD • The Lock Screen and the expanded Dynamic Island now show the next place ahead and how far away it is. • Spoken directions keep playing while Music or another app is on the CarPlay screen, or your iPhone is locked. • During a phone call you hear only short turn prompts, and nothing while Siri is listening. CARPLAY • A WanderWay map card on CarPlay Dashboard, with Nearby Sights and Where to? shortcuts. • A map and turn details in the instrument cluster, in cars that support it. • In the Route list, tap Show Route Overview to see the whole route, or what's ahead while driving. • If the car's built-in navigation takes over, tap Resume (or Resume Trip on CarPlay Dashboard) to carry on. • Tap a nearby place and choose Hear the Story. • On long tours, More Stops keeps every stop and your destination in reach. • Drives started in CarPlay announce nearby places and count toward your Journal and Passport, even without opening the iPhone app. PLACES • A new report reason: "Pin is in the wrong spot." Reports now work for National Register and Recreation.gov places too. FIXES • Starting a drive on your iPhone while a CarPlay list is open no longer closes WanderWay on the car screen. • Guidance no longer stalls after a pause in location updates, or goes quiet for the rest of a drive after an audio interruption. • The CarPlay arrival time now updates while you're stopped in traffic. • Places without a photo of their own no longer show a photo of a nearby building. • Mute in CarPlay now stays muted when you open WanderWay on your iPhone. • CarPlay turn distances are rounded, like "300 ft".
