Deal cards without a witness can now be submitted anyway, at a cost: the Last Dealer keeps one more ash card. - Chapter 17: when Mara cannot step in, an attack card the hound never copied now breaks the copy. - Chapter 20: if fewer than three meanings were earned, an "unwritten blank" now fills the table so the finale can begin (true-ending requirements are unchanged). - Chapter 5: if no testimony survived, you can now descend to the core without a witness. - Fixed rewards that never applied in battle: the Unchosen Self testimony and the enemy-intent reductions earned in Chapters 8, 9, 12 and 13. - Fixed some enemies returning with different stats after a retry. - Fixed progression buttons disappearing off-screen at the largest text sizes on the title, opening, story and battle screens. - Smoother battles and reading: artwork is now cached and downsampled, and reading position is saved without stalling the scroll.
