Hangul was designed to be learnable: twenty-four letters, stacked into blocks by a single rule. Korio teaches that logic first — nine short lessons, about twenty-four minutes — because everything after it assumes you can read.
[The order is not ours]
The National Institute of Korean Language (국립국어원), Korea's national language authority, grades 10,635 words and 336 grammar points across the six TOPIK levels. That grading is the spine of this app — the levels are theirs, not ours. The list is published under KOGL Type 1, and the app names its source on a Sources screen.
Everything built on top of it — the English meanings, the example sentences, the explanations — was written for this app. No dictionary text is reproduced.
[Alphabet]
Nine lessons that end with you reading a sign. Look-alike letters are taught together, so the extra stroke that means a puff of air becomes one pattern instead of four separate confusions.
[Words]
10,635 words on a spaced-repetition schedule, so what you learn on Tuesday comes back on the day it is about to slip. Each with audio and a sentence that uses it, grouped by topic inside every level. Four drill types: recognition, recall, listening, and fill-in-the-blank.
[Sound]
Why 학교 is not said the way it is written. Nine standard pronunciation rules applied to real curriculum words, each derivation shown step by step. Where a rule cannot be settled with certainty, the app shows nothing rather than a guess.
[Grammar]
Why 덥다 becomes 더워요. Conjugation across four speech levels, all nine irregular classes, and the particles that change shape depending on the letter before them.
[How it goes]
• Read first — about twenty-four minutes on the alphabet.
• Find your level with an adaptive placement test, if you already know some Korean. It writes nothing into your review queue.
• Ten minutes a day. A daily goal, a streak, and a reminder at an hour you choose.

TOPIK I — levels 1 and 2, all 1,835 words with audio — is open from the start, together with two of the nine pronunciation rules and a working preview of the grammar module. No account, no sign-up.
Korio Pro opens levels 3 to 6, every pronunciation rule, all of grammar, and removes the daily practice cap. Audio for the Pro levels downloads one level at a time, so you fetch only what you reach.

Your progress and review schedule stay on your phone. Pronunciation practice uses on-device speech recognition. There is no account.
