Sourced red envelope amounts for Taiwanese weddings, funerals, babies, New Year. Every envelope given and received, a reminder a week before, a gift table with no login. How much goes in the red envelope? And who still owes you one? Renqingbu answers the first with a sourced range — Taiwanese weddings, funerals, new babies 彌月, Lunar New Year 壓歲錢, housewarmings 入厝, hospital visits — and remembers the second: every envelope given and received, and what a proper return looks like. On the day you are the host, it runs the gift table. No account. No sign-up. Nothing you type ever leaves your phone. WORK OUT THE AMOUNT In Taiwan the wrong amount is not a rounding error; it reads as a statement. So the app does not guess. Pick the occasion and your relationship, then, where custom varies, attending or sending, alone or with a partner, hotel, banquet hall or restaurant, north or center-south. You get the customary range with its source and date under it. Where sources disagree, the range widens instead of being averaged into false confidence; where only one exists, the app says so. Seventy-nine published rates: reference points, not advice. Lucky amounts sit under the figure — even for red envelopes, nothing with a 4, odd for white. Going in with colleagues? Turn on the pooled envelope, set how many of you there are, and it splits the total fairly and records your share — so your book knows what you actually gave. Then what to write on it: traditional phrases for happy occasions with the signature 敬賀, and 敬輓 for condolences, taken verbatim from published sources. One tap shares the result to the group chat asking "how much are you giving?" KEEP THE RECORD, BOTH DIRECTIONS A paper 禮簿 records what came in; a bank app, what went out. Neither tells you, three years on, what the colleague whose wedding is next month gave at yours. Renqingbu keeps both directions per person and suggests the return from what they gave last time and today's rate. Search by name, filter happy from condolence, see anyone's history on one page. Condolence entries are grey, never red, and condolence money is never "returned"; the app knows that too. Your first ten entries are free, forever. One purchase, the Full Ledger, unlocks unlimited entries, reminders, and export of the whole book as CSV (Excel-ready, Chinese names intact) or PDF. A REMINDER A WEEK BEFORE, WITH THE NUMBER IN IT Invitation arrived? Open the person in your book, tap Remind me, pick the occasion and the date. A week before, at ten in the morning, one notification arrives with what they gave you last time and today's rate — the envelope is ready before you leave the house. No daily nags. RUN THE RECEPTION DESK, WITHOUT A LOGIN Wedding Day Mode is the second one-time purchase, for the day the envelopes come to you — the crush at the door, and the count at the end when book and cash disagree by thousands. Paste the guest list, one name per line. Each envelope's number shows before you save it, so it can be written on the packet; the name completes from your list; cash, check or other; table number. Every envelope is written to the phone the instant you tap the seal — a force-quit mid-banquet loses nothing. Only the newest can be undone, so the numbering stays honest. No signal needed: there is no server to reach. At the end of the night, reconcile: the app names which envelope numbers are missing. Correct any row, export the desk book as PDF or CSV, file the event into your ledger with one tap. If the phone lets you down, print a blank paper book whose numbering carries on from where the app stopped. PRIVACY, PLAINLY No sign-up, no login, no server. Names and amounts live on your phone and in your iPhone backup; we cannot see them and there is nowhere for them to go. The one network call confirms a purchase with Apple and RevenueCat; no name or amount is part of it. Turn on Face ID or Touch ID and the book locks whenever the app comes back, never while a reception desk is running. Buy once; no subscription. Traditional Chinese and English, dark mode and large text. Built in Taiwan, for Taiwanese occasions.
