Even Longer Remote turns an iPhone, iPad or Mac into the viewfinder and control surface of an Even Longer long-exposure camera running on another device. It needs an Even Longer camera to connect to: Even Longer with remote control switched on (a PRO feature there).
WHAT YOU GET
• The camera's live viewfinder, with its grid, histogram and celestial overlay
• Full manual control — ISO, shutter, EV, focus, white balance, lens, and aperture on the iPhone 18 Pro
• Accumulation mode, sequence target, file format and every camera setting, exactly as the camera offers them
• Live capture progress, pause, resume, stop and save
• Finished files delivered to the controller as they are saved — RAW, ProRAW, TIFF, HEIC or JPEG, whatever the camera wrote
PAIRING
Local network only. The camera announces itself, both screens show a short code, you confirm it by eye — and that camera is remembered. TLS-secured, no cloud, no account, no sign-in. In the field, the camera phone's personal hotspot is all the network you need.
ONE CONTROLLER FOR ANY EVEN LONGER CAMERA
The controller offers exactly what the camera it is driving can honour, and nothing it cannot. That camera can be any iPhone or iPad running Even Longer.
THE TWO APPS
• Even Longer Remote — this app: the controller. It does not capture on its own.
• Even Longer — the paid camera app for iPhone and iPad. Remote control is part of its optional PRO in-app upgrade, alongside RAW, Apple ProRAW and TIFF output, ShadowIQ, the celestial overlay, scheduled capture, the intervalometer, interim saves and anamorphic desqueeze.
No account, no ads, no data collection. English and German. Built in SwiftUI for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Even Longer Remote 2.1.3 is ready for the iPhone 18 Pro's finer aperture steps: driving Even Longer 2.1.3 on an iPhone 18 Pro, the aperture ruler offers the familiar third stops from ƒ/1.48 to ƒ/4, labelled at the full stops like the ISO and shutter rulers.
New in 2.1:
• iPhone Duo: on the outer display, open flat, half-open like a book or standing on a table, the controller's viewfinder and controls follow the fold.
• Camera and controller, both 2.1: Even Longer and Even Longer Remote are numbered together from 2.1 on — a camera and a controller that both say 2.1 belong together. Even Longer Remote keeps driving every Even Longer 2.x camera.
Live viewfinder, full manual control including the iPhone 18 Pro's aperture, every camera setting, live progress, and finished files delivered to the controller. Pairing is TLS-secured on your local network — no cloud, no account — and the camera phone's hotspot is enough in the field.
