New in 1.8: the world as a 3D globe. Spin it, find places on it, drag Greenland to the equator and watch the sun rise and set across it. One purchase, no subscription. HOW MAP MINDED ARE YOU? Race across the globe, hunt down famous landmarks, rebuild continents, paint national flags and discover fascinating facts about every country on Earth. Whether you're a geography expert, a curious traveller or simply enjoy a good challenge, there's always somewhere new to explore. LANDMARK CHALLENGE You have 80 seconds to locate 10 famous places from a collection of more than 1,000 landmarks. Drop your pin anywhere on the map and discover how far away you were. Every kilometre counts — can you finish the round with the smallest total distance? PLAY WITH FLAGS • Paint the Flag — Recreate national flags one section and colour at a time. • Drop the Flag — Place each flag into the country where you think it belongs. • Guess the Flag — Identify countries from their flags using multiple-choice or text-entry challenges. BUILD THE WORLD Choose a continent and fit its countries back into place. Start with visible country borders in Easy mode, then attempt the more difficult continent outline-only challenge. Each misplaced country shows exactly how far away your guess landed. TEST YOUR GEOGRAPHY • Guess capital cities from their countries. • Guess countries from their capital cities. • Play with multiple-choice answers or type them yourself for a tougher challenge. • Race through the alphabet and name countries or capital cities beginning with each letter. • Identify countries from their silhouette. • Drag from letter to letter around the circle to spell the hidden country. FIND THE HIDDEN TRAVELLER (WOLLY) Search the world map for a tiny glass disc hiding somewhere on Earth. Find it, identify the country or ocean, then watch it scurry off to a new location. Follow its direction and distance clues, reveal hints when you need them and use hot-or-cold searches to close in on its hiding place. HEAD SCRATCHERS Ten questions with no clock on them at all. Which five countries end in the letter L? Which of the 195 capitals comes first alphabetically? Name the seven -stans. You are never handed the answer. You are told something true about every guess — where a capital sits in the alphabet, how many letters a country has, which vowel it is missing — and left to work out the rest. Take a hint if you want one. Some of them take days. EXPLORE THE WORLD Tap any country to discover its population, cities, history, geography, fun facts and more. Measure distances between any two places, see the great-circle route across the globe, tap the map to reveal precise coordinates and unravel the world's time zones. KEEP YOUR TRAVEL JOURNAL Record the countries you have visited and when you visited them. See your travels highlighted on the world map and discover what percentage of the world you have explored. WATCH THE WORLD GROW A live population estimate on the main menu gives you an ever-changing glimpse of our remarkable planet. BUY IT ONCE That is the whole arrangement. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no adverts, and nothing held back to unlock later. No account and no sign-in either, and nothing about you is collected or sent anywhere. Apart from one optional button that fetches the newest population figures, it all works perfectly well in aeroplane mode. Twelve geography games. More than 1,000 landmarks. A whole world of information. How much of the world can you discover?

The world as a globe The map button at the side of the desk now opens a 3D globe, as well as putting the map on your wall. Drag to spin it and pinch to zoom. Tap a country for its flag, capital, population, size and the time there, or scatter the landmarks over it (all 1,189, or one kind at a time) and tap one for its story. The moon button shades the half of the world where it is night right now, with a line along the edge between day and night and the places where the sun is rising and setting. Find It Two games on the globe. Ten to Find asks for countries, capitals and landmarks, and scores you by how close your tap lands. It remembers what it has asked, and shares that memory with Landmark Hunt, so the same place does not keep coming round. Letter Hunt gives you a letter and asks you to tap every country that begins with it. Nothing is named and nothing is marked until you finish. Then the ones you missed light up and the globe flies you round them. Play it with or without a clock. True Size Pick up a country and drag it somewhere else. It stays its real size wherever it goes, which is the thing a flat map cannot do. Put Greenland on the equator and see how big it really is. My World and Fly My World paints the countries in your travel journal gold across the globe. Fly sends an aeroplane from one capital to another along the shortest way round the world, which is rarely the way it looks on a flat map. The picture of the Earth is NASA's Blue Marble.
