SoFar now speaks Traditional Chinese. And in Korean, countdowns read the way Korea counts them: D-52, D-DAY, D+100, in the app and in every widget.

Import your dates: birthdays from Contacts, upcoming events from Calendar. You tick each one before it comes in. A new list widget, medium and large: your next events, all of them or one category, birthdays only for instance. Free, like every widget. Reminders when you want them: any number of days before or after, at a time you set for each event. New birthdays remind you a week before and on the day. New with SoFar+: Life, a new tab: your whole life one dot per week, 52 to a row, up to 80 or the age you choose. iCloud sync: your events on every iPhone signed in to your iCloud account, with no server of ours in between. Five occasion themes: Halloween, Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day and Birthday, where the days become pumpkins, trees, sparkles, hearts and gifts. And an app icon to match each of the 18 themes.

Events now have a category: birthdays, work, personal, travel, health or other. The Year screen groups them into sections you can fold with a tap. A new setting hides the year grid when you only want to see your events. Sharing uses the system share sheet, and the reminder time reads as a time. If SoFar earns its place, iOS may ask what you think of it. Rarely, and never on first launch.
