Kleave: Window Manager
Snap windows with shortcuts
Only for Mac
$4.99
Mac
Sixteen window actions, one keystroke each. Halves, corners, thirds, fullscreen, center, grow, shrink, move between displays. Lives in the menu bar, nothing to set up.
Kleave moves and resizes windows from the keyboard. Press a shortcut, the window lands where you meant it to go. That is the whole app.
It lives in the menu bar — no main window, no Dock icon, nothing to arrange around. Sixteen actions, each with a default shortcut you can change:
• Halves — left, right, top, bottom
• Corners — all four quadrants
• Thirds — one repeated shortcut steps a window through ½ → ⅔ → ⅓
• Fullscreen and Center
• Make Larger and Make Smaller
• Next Display and Previous Display
Every action is also a tile in the menu bar grid, so you can click the ones you have not memorised yet.
BUILT TO BE EXACT
The window calculations are verified against 2,880 recorded vectors covering every action from every starting position, on one display and across several. Windows land where they are supposed to, every time.
Each move is a single request, and Kleave checks where the window actually landed. A window that keeps its own size is placed where the action meant it, not left in a corner.
KEEP AWAKE
One switch beyond window management, in Settings and in the menu: Keep awake holds off idle sleep while you read, present, or wait out a long build. The display can still sleep. The menu bar icon carries a badge while it is on, so you always know the state.
PRIVACY
No network connections at all. No analytics, no telemetry, no account, no updater phoning home.
Kleave never reads window titles or window contents. To move a window it passes the Shortcuts app three things, all on your Mac: which app is in front, where its window is, and where it should go. It needs no Screen Recording permission and no Input Monitoring permission.
BEFORE YOU START
Kleave moves windows through Apple's Shortcuts app, so the first launch has two quick steps: allow Kleave to use the Shortcuts app, then add the Kleave Window Mover shortcut that comes with it. A setup window walks you through both. Nothing moves until they are done, and no relaunch is needed afterwards.
Optionally, turn on Open at login in Settings so it is there every morning.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
No drag-a-window-to-the-screen-edge snapping. No saved layouts to restore. No workspaces, no window tabs, no automatic tiling. Sixteen actions, keyboard first, and nothing else — that is the design, not a list of things coming later.
Requires macOS 26 or later.
