Most of the points in cribbage are in the show, and most of the mistakes. Practise the count against a clock, one hand after another, and see what you missed.
Play cribbage against the computer, and see where you lost points.
Play a game to 121 against one or two computer opponents. A coach can
stop you before a throw or a card that gives points away, and after the
game a review goes through every decision you made and says what the
best choice was worth.
COUNTING PRACTICE
Four cards face up and the starter face down. Turn the starter and the
clock starts. Count all five, type the total, and the hand is marked with
its workings: every fifteen, pair, run and flush drawn out as cards, so
you see what you missed.
THE HANDS YOU CHOOSE
Most real hands are dull, and counting a dull hand quickly is half the
game. When you want the awkward ones, turn the difficulty up and only
hands worth counting are dealt.
THE DISCARD
Six cards and two to throw, to your crib or to your opponent's. Every
way to throw is ranked by what it is worth, and a tap on one shows how
it scores.
TWELVE OPPONENTS
From one that plays at random up to Expert. Ranked games give you a
rating, and a place among everybody else who plays ranked.
HOW IT IS GOING
Your accuracy and your time, hand by hand and game by game, with every
recent hand and game there to tap open.
THE RULES
A hand from the deal to the show, nibs and nobs, and every way to score,
including the ones people get wrong.
You can practise without an account. Make one with your email address
and your hands and games are kept with it, on any device you sign in on.
