Every tile you read costs a step. Flag what you cannot afford to test, and keep walking. Beware, something in the deep regions is faster than you are.
You are a bombseeker. Walk from the entrance to the exit without stepping on a mine.
Everything happens through your character. There is no tapping tiles across the map. To learn what is on a tile, you have to walk onto it, and stepping on a mine kills you outright. Each tile you step on reveals how many of the eight tiles around it are hiding a bomb, and nothing opens up for free. A number is bought one step at a time.
FLAG WHAT YOU CANNOT AFFORD TO TEST
Flags are the other half of the puzzle. Mark the tile beside you and you can walk over it safely. Sometimes that is the only way across a row you cannot read. Flags cost coins, so every one you plant is a decision, and any flag still on the board when a level ends is gone whether you finished it or died.
Pick one back up and it is returned to you. Learn to move a single flag across two rows of mines and you will never be stuck.
SOMETHING IS HUNTING YOU
The first two regions are pure puzzles. From the Sands onward, wild beasts share the board, and they do not wait for you to finish reading it.
Scorpions are slow and hit softest. Goblins are quicker and take real work to put down. Wolfren are the size of the ground they stand on, hunt in packs, and are the only thing out there faster than you. You cannot simply walk away from one. A better weapon stops being a luxury.
FORTY-FIVE BOARDS ACROSS NINE REGIONS
From the training fields of Alanther to the Dark Forrest, each region brings its own terrain, its own scenery and its own dangers. Water blocks you. Bridges carry you over it. A cactus or a tree is never hiding a mine; scenery is always safe ground.
Boards are hand-authored, not generated, and the difficulty is measured rather than guessed: every board in the campaign is checked to be beatable with the flags it hands you.
SPEND WHAT YOU EARN
Clear a board and you are paid for finishing and for every mine you correctly flagged. Spend it on flags, on fifteen weapons across three families and five metals, on twenty-three pieces of armour, and on potions for when a fight goes long.
Armour is extra hit points, never damage reduction, a mine still kills outright however well dressed you are. The heaviest sets slow you down, which matters more than it sounds when a Wolfren has noticed you.
Out of coins and out of flags? Take a Random Puzzle. They always pay, and they always hand you flags of their own, so there is always a way back.

Tap the board to take a step. Press and drag to keep walking. Tap the flag button and the tiles you can mark light up, tap one to plant, tap it again to take the flag back. One button swings your weapon at the nearest beast, one drinks a potion.
