- Live editor: Markdown formatting appears as you type, and the syntax only shows on the line you’re editing. The raw source is still available with ⌘4. - Formatting shortcuts: ⌘B, ⌘I and ⌘K for bold, italic and links, and brackets and quotes close themselves. - Inline images: images show right in the editor. Pasting or dropping an image saves it next to the note. - Smarter paste: pasting a link over selected text turns it into a link, and web pages- paste as clean Markdown. - Link popover: hovering a link lets you change, open or copy it. - [[Note]] links: you can link notes with autocomplete, and backlinks show in the outline. - Themes and writing tools: themes and fonts in Settings, Typewriter Mode, and a quieter word-count footer that also shows reading time. - Free trial: a 3-day trial of edit mode, offered on the unlock sheet. - Update notice: the app tells people when a new version is out and what changed.

Images beside your document Relative image links now render. Grant the document's folder once and its screenshots appear on every later open. GitHub alerts [!NOTE], [!TIP], [!IMPORTANT], [!WARNING] and [!CAUTION] render as callouts instead of bracketed grey quotes. Math and highlighted code in Quick Look KaTeX math and syntax highlighting now render in Quick Look previews and exported HTML, not just in the app. New Document, where you look for it ⌘N, the start screen, the toolbar and the Dock menu all create one.
