Protect EasyGit projects in iCloud Drive. EasyGit Backup materializes dataless files, creates verified git bundles, schedules backups, and restores safely to staging. EasyGit Backup is a native macOS utility for developers who keep Git repositories in iCloud Drive and manage them with EasyGit. iCloud can evict inactive files into dataless placeholders. Ordinary backup tools may archive empty stubs. EasyGit Backup detects those files, downloads what it needs, then creates verified Git-native snapshots you can schedule, inspect, and restore with confidence. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Automatically discover repositories across your configured folders and EasyGit metadata • Materialize iCloud dataless files before packaging • Back up with git bundle archives and SHA-256 integrity checks • Optionally include working-tree changes and EasyGit configuration state • Store snapshots on a primary destination plus secondary disks, NAS mounts, or sync folders • Optionally encrypt destination payloads with AES-256-GCM (Keychain-backed secrets) • Verify snapshots, run canary restores, and restore to a safe staging folder by default • Schedule hourly, daily, or weekly backups with optional wake/login catch-up • See next-run timing, daemon status, and recent activity on a clear Dashboard PRIVACY EasyGit Backup is local-first. It does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not require an EasyGit Backup account. Your repositories stay on your Mac and on destinations you configure.
