Stop worrying about what is in it. ScreenshotPrivacy finds emails, phone numbers, credit cards and credentials in your capture and covers them before the image leaves your machine. Then it applies the finish: gradient background, frame and shadow. For people who screenshot as evidence — the developer documenting a bug, the support agent attaching a ticket, the analyst building a report — the risk was never forgetting to black something out once. It is forgetting every time you were in a hurry. HOW IT WORKS Cmd+Shift+7 from anywhere. You pick the area, the capture is read, sensitive values are covered, and the result is already on your clipboard. The window opens with the finished image, so you can check it before you paste. WHAT IT FINDS • Email addresses, phone numbers and credentials • Credit cards, verified with the Luhn check digit • Brazilian CPF and CNPJ, verified with their check digits Checking the digit is what separates a real card number from an eleven-digit order reference. Without it, a tool either covers too much and you switch it off, or covers too little and you trust it for nothing. YOUR OWN RULES (Pro subscription) Ticket numbers, employee IDs, internal codes. Write the expression that describes the value and it gets covered like everything else. THE BAR DOES NOT COME BACK Pixels are replaced, not blurred and not hidden under a layer. Blur can be reversed and a layer can be removed by whoever receives the image. Here, what was covered is no longer in the file. EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR MAC No capture, no recognised text and no detected value leaves the device. The app works with networking turned off. No account, no cloud, no telemetry. The only thing that talks to the internet is the subscription purchase, handled by the App Store, which never sees your images. FINISH Gradient background, rounded corners, frame and shadow. The screenshot comes out presentable for a slide, for documentation or for publishing, at your display's real resolution. PRO SUBSCRIPTION Protection is complete on the free plan. Every export without a subscription carries an app badge. Pro, monthly or yearly, lets you turn the badge off or replace its text and QR address, write your own rules, and show only the ends of a value — the last digits of a card, say — instead of covering it whole. That protects less than covering everything, and it is your choice, one category at a time. Auto-renewing. Cancel any time in your Apple account settings. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO Person names, addresses and health information are not detected in this version. Automatic detection can miss. Check the image before you share it — the review is yours, and the window shows you the result for exactly that reason. This tool reduces risk. It does not replace deciding your purpose, your legal basis, your retention policy, or the other duties that belong to whoever handles personal data. SUBSCRIPTION TERMS Pro Monthly and Pro Yearly are auto-renewable subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
