Mac

Plan films, animation, ads, and videos from script to screen. Reframe is a local-first storyboard maker and animatic studio for Mac: draw boards, organize scenes, build shot lists, time sequences, and export production-ready material. Built for directors, storyboard artists, animators, filmmakers, screenwriters, cinematographers, and small production teams, Reframe keeps visual planning in one focused workspace. START WITH A SCRIPT OR A BLANK SEQUENCE Import Fountain or Final Draft files, or begin with an empty canvas in the aspect ratio you need. Reframe organizes scripts into scenes and keeps the current beat visible while you board. DRAW AND REVISE QUICKLY Sketch with purpose-built drawing tools and layers. Use guides, onion skin, lasso editing, undo and redo, board notes, dialogue, action, timing, and audio references to move from rough ideas to a readable sequence. REVIEW THE RHYTHM Reorder boards, set shot and board durations, play the sequence as an animatic, and review story flow before production. Export PDF storyboard sheets, images, GIFs, video, shot lists, and editing files for the next stage of the workflow. PLAN SHOTS IN 3D WITH REFRAME PRO Block scenes with characters, props, cameras, lenses, and lighting in the 3D Shot Generator, then send a composed shot back to the storyboard. OPTIONAL CHAT STORYBOARD If you choose, connect your own compatible model provider and ask Chat Storyboard to analyze the story or propose reviewable project changes. The feature remains hidden until you provide the required configuration and enable it. Reframe never silently enables an AI service. LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN Your projects remain local to your Mac unless you deliberately use a feature that transfers data. Reframe does not require a Reframe account. Optional Chat Storyboard tools appear only after you configure your own compatible text-model endpoint, deployment, and API key and explicitly enable the feature. Before the first transfer, Reframe shows the destination and the project data that may be sent. FREE CORE. OPTIONAL PRO TOOLS. Core local projects, drawing, timing, playback, printing and exports are free without watermarks. Reframe Pro adds Chat Storyboard and the 3D Shot Generator. Monthly and annual plans are $9 and $89 in the US storefront and may include a seven-day trial for eligible new subscribers. Lifetime Pro is a $199 one-time purchase with no trial or renewal. The App Store purchase sheet supplies the authoritative localized price and offer terms.
