Make your explanation visible.
DrawCam brings drawing tools, a presenter camera and screen recording together on your Mac. Explain a webpage, walk through a lesson or point out a detail without rebuilding your content as slides.
CAPTURE THE EXPLANATION
Choose your camera and microphone, start after a countdown, and save videos or screenshots. Preview the result when you finish. DrawCam’s toolbar appears in captures by default. To leave it out of DrawCam’s own videos and screenshots, turn on “Hide DrawCam windows from captures” in Settings.
PRESENT YOUR WAY
Move and resize your camera overlay. Adjust its border and shadow, choose a film look, or fine-tune face adjustments. Prefer to keep your camera image private? Replace the entire camera view with a 3D avatar.
DRAW ON YOUR SCREEN
Use brushes, pens, a textured pencil, markers, arrows, shapes and typed text. Save favorite colors, try strokes with gently shifting hues, and let temporary annotations fade away. Undo and redo keep your explanation moving.
KEEP ATTENTION WHERE IT MATTERS
Highlight cursor clicks, spotlight a detail or magnify part of your screen. Arrange your favorite tools in a compact floating toolbar, horizontally or vertically.
MAKE ROOM FOR IDEAS
Switch to a whiteboard without losing your screen annotations. Select, move and delete items, with separate undo histories for the screen and board.
MADE FOR MAC
DrawCam lives in the menu bar and supports keyboard shortcuts. The interface is available in English, Korean, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, German, French and Brazilian Portuguese.
Requires macOS 14 or later. Capture and magnification require Screen Recording permission. Camera and microphone access are needed only when those inputs are used. Handwriting recognition languages are configured separately from the app language.

Safer long recordings, a tidier toolbar and more natural face effects.
• The toolbar is grouped by task — Draw, Tools, Edit, Present, Capture and Window — and wraps each group into two rows. Your custom layout is kept; Settings → Toolbar → Restore default groups and layout switches to the new one.
• Drawing mode is easy to see: the draw button fills with your accent color and the toolbar's title bar is tinted while you draw.
• Press / while drawing for a shortcut guide. Hold Control to see each toolbar button's shortcut.
• [ and ] change the line width and Shift-[ and Shift-] change the text size, with a badge that shows the new size.
• New tool shortcuts: ⌘1 brush to ⌘8 text, ⌘9 color, ⌘0 eraser. If you already use DrawCam, your shortcuts stay as they are; Settings → Toolbar → Restore default shortcuts switches to the new set.
• Your tool, width, color and Hue Shift are remembered after relaunch.
• Shortcut settings are grouped and ask before taking a key from another action. Shortcuts work with Korean and other non-Latin input sources.
• "Text pen" is now called "Text recognition pen", and Settings shows tool names next to their icons.
• Avatars are rounder and livelier: they blink, turn with your head and move their mouth as you speak. Meet the new Dog; the Cat and Fox have a fresh look.
• Long recordings are safer: if DrawCam or your Mac stops unexpectedly, the recording is kept up to its last few seconds, and recording stops and saves before the disk fills up.
• After you stop, a window shows the saving progress and then opens the preview, with Show saved capture in Finder.
• Recordings with both system audio and a microphone now save much faster.
• Face beautification looks more natural: Face contour slims cheeks, jaw and chin together, skin tone and dark circle reduction keep your skin color, and the new Smile line reduction softens the lines beside your mouth. Hair darkening now darkens gray strands at the sides and follows your head without flicker.
• Fixed: the saving window no longer appears at the end of recordings when DrawCam windows are shown in captures.
• Fixed: the toolbar could stretch across the screen, and shortcuts meant for other apps played the alert sound while drawing.
