We rebuilt the remote from the ground up: • New remote screen: tap the ring or swipe on it. Hold an arrow to move fast. • Hold rewind or fast-forward and it keeps going until you let go. • Your favorite apps sit right under the remote, with your TV's own icons on TVs that share them. Put them in any order. • Haptics when you press a button: Light, Strong or Off. • Mini remote (iOS 26.1 and later): volume and play/pause right above the tab bar while you're on another tab. • 36 new themes in Pro: real city photos, country flags, football and basketball colors. Your theme stays the same on iPhone, iPad and Mac. • Widgets, the Lock Screen remote and Apple Watch now use your theme's color. • A refreshed Settings screen, and you can turn off iCloud sync if you like. • Fixed the same TV showing up twice in the list. • Easier to use on small screens and with large text. • Bug fixes.

This update makes the remote a lot more reliable: • See right away which of your TVs are on or off. Google TV boxes show up correctly now too. • Turn your TV off and the app notices. Turn it back on and it reconnects by itself — no tapping needed. • Opening the app connects to your last TV faster. • Switch to another Wi‑Fi and it looks for TVs on its own. Finding TVs is faster too. • Using Google TV on both iPhone and Mac? It won't ask for a code every time anymore. • Wi‑Fi off or Local Network access not allowed? We now tell you exactly what to do. • The remote in the Dynamic Island goes away by itself when the TV turns off. • A refreshed remote screen with clearer, comfier buttons. • VoiceOver now reads the volume and channel buttons correctly. • Small bug fixes.
