When colors are difficult to distinguish, Color Vision Ally offers another way to check everyday objects.
Point the camera at clothing, household items, or other objects to see the color name, a swatch, reliability guidance, RGB values, and a HEX value for the center of the view.
Features
• Live color identification: Check the color at the center of the camera view.
• Live zoom: Pinch to zoom, adjust the zoom buttons, or tap the zoom level to return to 1×. The available limit depends on your device, up to 4×.
• Color alerts: Select reds, greens, or blues and purples to highlight matching regions with high-contrast patterns. Choose grid or smooth overlays and adjust matching strength and coverage thresholds.
• Freeze and sample: Pause the view, then tap a spot to check its color. Freezing does not automatically save a photo.
• Photo colors: Import an image through the system photo picker and tap a detail to sample it.
• Automatic speech: Hear color names when results are stable.
• Lighting tools: Receive a low-light prompt and choose when to turn on the light. Use a white or neutral gray surface for color calibration.
• Four languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, and Japanese.
All existing features are free in this version. Color alerts require no subscription or one-time purchase.
Privacy
No account is required. Camera frames and selected photos are processed on the device. Images are not uploaded or automatically saved, and no recognition history is created. The app contains no advertising or cross-app tracking.
Lighting, white balance, reflections, and surface materials can affect results. Zoom does not guarantee more accurate identification. This app provides assistive color information, not medical diagnosis or guidance for high-risk decisions such as food safety.
