Choose exactly which holes a game is played over. Under Holes, pick All 18, the front or back nine, or Choose holes… and tap the ones you want. The stroke index comes from the card, ranked among those holes, or you can set your own order, and playing handicaps follow the holes chosen. Admins can save a choice for a course, such as "Winter 14", so it's one tap next time. Courses can now have winter tees, copied from the Yellow tees, and New Game lets you switch tees without choosing the course again. Course lists open straight away, too.

Follow your league's game as it happens. While you're playing, your round sits on the Lock Screen, latest scores first, and in the Dynamic Island: who's out on the course, the hole they're on, their points and the league points they'd take if it finished now. Anyone else can follow a game from League → Live. New widgets for the Home Screen and Lock Screen show the game in progress, or the next one when nothing's on. And on any Live leaderboard, tap a player to see their scorecard.

Badges now show where something is new: messages on Chat (game chats too), results on League, and Money, Members and your other leagues on More. Each one clears once you've seen what it's about. More has a new look, with painted tiles. In chat you can take a photo with the camera, and tap any photo to see it full screen and zoom in. Every row in a list can now be tapped anywhere along it. Fixed: the app icon's badge could keep counting up after everything was read.

ScoreHouse now speaks your language: German, French, Spanish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian and Dutch, as well as English. Everything follows your phone's language, including results, the rules page and notifications. Also fixed: a stroke play result with a league adjustment below zero showed "+-2"; it now shows "-2".

• Updating a course's scorecard now saves its course rating and slope. Before, a new rating could be lost without any warning. • Saving anything now shows that it is saving, and the app waits until it has finished, so nothing is pressed twice or changed halfway through. If a save is slow, for example with no signal, you can carry on while it finishes. • If a save fails, you now always see why, even on screens that open over the app. Some screens used to say "saved" when they hadn't. • Handing in scorecards now waits until they reach the league before saying so, and tells you if they are still on your phone.

- Playing handicaps now follow the handicap rules for Great Britain and Ireland: your allowance is applied before anything is rounded. Some players will play off a shot different from before. Rounds already started keep their handicaps. - Nine-hole games, and games finished after nine, now use the proper 9-hole handicap, worked out from that nine's par and rating. - Smaller iPhones: names, course names and amounts are no longer cut off in the league table, the live leaderboard, results and Money.

- Follow a game live: League now has a Live section showing the game being played, with a dot beside whoever is out on the course. - Game in progress: get a notification when someone in your league starts a round, and tap it to follow along. You can turn it off in notification settings. - Scorecards in results: tap anyone's score to see their card, hole by hole. - Picked up: scoring for your group now has a Picked up button under every player. - App icon badge: the icon shows how many notifications you haven't read, missed chat messages included, and the Chat tab shows unread group messages. - Tapping a notification now takes you straight to what it's about.
