EVERY PLACE IS ONE TAP FROM ITS MAP Every page now opens with a small map of exactly that thing's places, and list rows carry a pin with the count. Tap it, or press and hold for a preview, and the map opens on the screen you are on; Back returns you to the row you came from. In no-spoiler mode the map shows only the ground you have opened, and something you have not found offers small hints before it shows everything. WHAT NEXT A card at the top of the Ledger names the one main-line step to do now, the armour to make for your zone, a vault or boss when you are ready for one, and something you can make with what you have found. Hints you take are counted, on the Ledger and on a card you can share. One switch in Settings turns it off, and nothing is collected. THE MAP Press and hold to drop your own pins: your base, where you fell, anything you name. The layer panel files its layers under seven plain groups, marker size and pins or dots are yours to set, and "Suggest a fix" on any marker sends us a correction. Treasure chests are now a checklist: 386 of them, ticked on the map or in the Ledger. PLANNING One search for the whole Almanac, on every tab, grouped by where the answer is, with the pages you opened recently. Star any page to save it. Put recipes on a Needed list that adds up their raw materials, takes off what you already have, and shows where the rest is on one map. A loadout planner adds up your gear and the power level it gives you, and monster pages say when they come back. The Almanac is an unofficial fan-made reference and is not affiliated with Jagex.

THE GAME'S 1.0 UPDATE The Almanac now carries the 1.0 update as the community has recorded it, up to game version 1.0.0.6. The Scorned Wilderness is a sixth region and is on the map, drawn from the places recorded there: its treasure chests, luminite and runite deposits and magic trees. Kuldra and the creatures of her sanctum, the Black Dragon, the Regicide quest with a step-by-step guide, rune and dragon tier equipment from the rune sword to the dragon crossbow, black and red dragonhide and ancestral robes, eight wands from ash to ancestral, four more spells including Vengeance and Home Teleport, and the recipes that tie them together. Your house gains trophies, tapestries and companion perches, and the skill trees gain 22 perks across Agility, Fishing, Farming, Woodcutting and more. Every new entry has a one-line description, and the Glossary gained the dragon tier. THE LEDGER A row now opens its Codex entry from a tap anywhere but its check box. The check box still toggles on its own, and the marker list on the map shares the same row. ALSO A small stone companion dozes at the head of the console guide and in the Codex's empty column on iPad. Rune tier and dragon tier are named in the Glossary without saying where they wait, and the Glossary's special action matches 1.0: a weapon's own move, fed by the special attack bar. After you have used the Ledger for a while, the Almanac may ask once what you think of it. The Almanac is an unofficial fan-made reference and is not affiliated with Jagex.

THE SURVEY The Almanac now draws its own map of Ashenfall, from the coordinates the community has recorded and nothing else. Regions are shaded and named, every temple, ruin, shrine, keep, camp, vault and Nodestone stands under a small mark of its own kind, the fishing spots ripple, and a line runs round everything the community has recorded so far. Chests, lore scraps, vestiges and every named place are on from the start, and resource layers are a switch away. Tap the coordinates of a place on a Where result, in a Codex entry or on a lore scrap's Place row to see that spot on the map, with the marker's card up or a pin on the point, and a legend explains every tone and mark. The Survey is drawn from community location data, not from the game's map. ALREADY PLAYING? Switch Unwritten on mid-game and a new catch-up screen asks how far along the main quest line you are, then lists the zones that opens so you can tick off what you have found, a group at a time. It is offered after choosing Unwritten on a new install, under Settings > Reading, and on the Ledger while nothing is checked yet. ALSO On a zone screen in Unwritten, the things you have not found yet gather by kind: quests, bosses, vestiges, lore scraps and agility courses, none of them named. The Glossary shows a term for an item, a piece of equipment, a spell or a skill perk from the first open; a term for a place, a creature or a quest still waits until you have found it. And a power level no longer gives away its armour tier's name until you have reached a zone of that power or found the piece the Glossary links it to.
