• Bug fixes and improved stability. • On the Mac, “File a document” no longer closes the app, and “Whole sheet” uses the Mac's camera.

• Your archive recognises you: on a new iPhone, iPad or Mac with the same Apple Account, the app finds your archive on iCloud by itself and brings it there. If the device already has documents of its own, it asks before merging them. • You can see sync working: Settings shows what it's doing, when it finished and, if something goes wrong, why — in plain words. • More reliable sync: documents that had never reached iCloud are sent again automatically. • Clearer backup: when it's ready you save it to Files or iCloud Drive with one tap, and it only counts as done once it's really saved.

• We'll tell you about new versions: when a newer version is on the App Store, a notice appears when you open the app, with “Update” and “Later”. • Each version's news appears the first five times you open the app after updating, and stays in Settings › About to read again.

The Tutor is here: a button on the first page that walks you step by step through real actions in the app, with a bubble at every step. • Two guided paths: “Archiving a document” and “Deadlines and calendar”. • The screen dims and only the control to tap stays lit: you learn by using the app. • The first time you open the app after updating, a “What's new” screen tells you what has changed. • The Tutor speaks the app's language.

Sturdier scanning and a tidier archive. • No more sudden quits when scanning documents with many pages. • "Whole sheet": take the page without the scanner cropping it, handy for folded or stapled sheets. You can switch between scanner and whole sheet within the same scan. • A sheet that is already straight stays square, with no edges cut off. • "Where it goes": after scanning, choose a new document, add the pages to an existing one, or browse your binders and tap "Save here". • "Re-analyse the document": reads an archived document again with the new rules and shows you, field by field, what would change. • Better sender recognition: the courier or the postmark on the envelope is no longer taken for the one who wrote. • Attachments can be moved to the Trash, and from there put back or deleted for good.

Everything in your language: the labels on the document page (sender, date, amount, priority, source) and the "What to do with it" options of a letter now follow your phone's language, as do the backup, envelope, signature and sharing screens. Small fixes.

Files better, sends lighter. • Better at knowing where a document belongs. It used to be enough for a word to appear anywhere: a tax assessment could end up under insurance, because the deductions listed insurance premiums. Now the title line and the sender decide — what the document says about itself at the top. An electricity bill goes to Home, a garage invoice to Car, even when those words never appear. • Lighter scans. Three levels of detail (Light for e-mail, Normal, High for reprinting): ten pages go from fifteen megabytes to under four. • When you share a heavy attachment, the app asks first whether to make it lighter, and shows you both sizes. In the archive the original stays as it is. • Password-protected export. You get a sealed package: without the password not even the document names are visible. Whoever receives it opens it in a browser, on Windows too, with the reader that travels inside the package or at banfis.ch/archiviatore-lettore. • Every export now carries an index you can browse with a double click, and the reader for people without the app. • When the archive can't open because the device is locked, it now says so and lets you try again.
