Results describe clear-sky direct sun based on the recorded obstruction horizon, approximate location, and the sun’s path. Obstructions you mark as deciduous are estimated in both a leaf-on and a leaf-off state, chosen from the month and the latitude of the spot rather than from the specific plant, so the reported range spans both. Inside the tropics, where leaf timing does not follow that pattern, no leaf season is assigned. The estimate does not predict cloud cover, weather, plant growth, or temporary obstructions. Scan quality, horizon accuracy, location, and surroundings can affect results. Use them as a practical planning input and seek professional advice when appropriate.
