• New: when you upload a video, choose it from Photos or from Files. Videos saved in Files no longer have to go through your photo library first. • Live video: when the phone gets hot, the live stream switches to a lower quality instead of stopping. If the phone gets very hot, live video pauses and comes back as soon as it cools down. The recording keeps going either way. • Uploading: after you stop recording, the match keeps uploading even with the phone locked. Keep the phone on Wi-Fi until it finishes. • While the phone is hot, the match upload waits until it cools down, so the phone can keep recording.

• Fixed: the app no longer shows "No signal" when you return to it while a page is still loading. You only see it now when your phone has really lost its connection.

• Upload a video from your Photos inside the app: Skyball sends the original file without waiting for your iPhone to convert it, and the upload keeps going with your phone locked. • Upload a match saved as several videos: choose them all at once, in order, and Skyball joins them into one match.

• If an upload can't get through to our servers, it now stops instead of closing the app. • The Before-you-record checklist asks about Focus status up front, so no prompt ever pops up over a recording. • The Record screen's bottom row fits on smaller iPhones, and each recording remembers which match it belongs to. • After you leave the app and come back mid-match, the camera refocuses instead of staying blurry for the rest of the recording.

• With Portrait Orientation Lock on, the Record screen now turns sideways when you turn the phone, so you can start recording without changing any settings. • Live video for family is sharper on the newest iPhones. The first time you stream, Skyball finds the best video setting for your phone and uses it from then on. • A recording that stopped uploading partway now carries on by itself when the phone is back on Wi-Fi. • Resume keeps working after you update the app, and tapping it again never sends the same recording twice. • A recording now stays on your phone until Skyball has finished the match, so a problem on our side can't cost you the video.

• Live video keeps going when you switch apps, lock the phone or take a call while recording. The stream picks up again by itself as soon as you're back in Skyball. • On a slow gym connection, live video lowers its picture quality for a while instead of stopping, so family watching from home sees fewer pauses. • Resume on the Record tab no longer gets stuck. If Skyball no longer has the part of an upload that was already sent, the recording is sent again from the start. • If one part of an upload arrives damaged, only that part is sent again.

• Uploads from the Record tab no longer stop when Skyball is briefly busy. The app waits and carries on by itself. • If an upload does stop, the message says what happened, confirms the recording is still on your phone, and gives you a way back to send it again. • The screen keeps its size while the keyboard is open, so lists and headers stay in place when you search for a team.

• Stop recording with one confirmation, right on the score screen. • End set now asks with two clear buttons, and a set you ended by mistake can be undone for 10 seconds. • The score screen notices when a set looks finished (25, or 15 in a deciding set, win by 2) and offers to end it. Once a team has two sets it asks whether the match is over. • Upload, battery and heat warnings appear as one quiet line next to the clock, with a Use cellular button when the gym has no wifi. • The finished screen shows the set scores. • A recording stopped before 12 minutes is not uploaded. You choose whether to delete it or keep it on the phone. • Saving a match for offline viewing no longer removes an older saved match until the new one has finished downloading.

• A new layout across the app: one team row at the top, and Film, Stats and Team pages rebuilt for the phone. • Film: a thin filter row that slides away as you scroll, cleaner match rows, swipe left to remove a match, and a download arrow for watching offline. • Record: the live score link for family comes first, with a reminder to turn the phone sideways. Sharing the link turns the live stream on. • Review: turn the phone sideways and the film fills the screen. Pull the touch list in from the right edge when you want it. • Team: tap a player's row to edit them.

• Keep score from another phone: open the live link on any team member's phone, sign in, and tap the team that won the point. • Record in 4K by default, with the recording deleted from the phone once the upload completes. Uploads use cellular when the gym has no wifi (you can turn that off). • A Do Not Disturb reminder before you record, since a call mid-match interrupts the recording. • Simpler camera setup: one framing tip, a setup screen that works however you hold the phone, and only the video screens rotate. • Notifications and team switching open as sheets, roster editing in one tap, a compact box score, and film beside the touch list when you turn the phone sideways.

• Push notifications: know the moment your film is ready to watch. • Save any clip to Photos, or share it straight from the app. • Download a match to watch offline. • Camera: pinch to zoom (1×, 2×, 5×), record in either landscape orientation, a framing guide for the net and antennas, and a faster shutter for a sharper ball. • Live stream: the live link is ready to share before you press Record, and the scoreboard shows the opponent on the left and your team on the right. • Keep a copy of your recording in Photos (optional) and choose when the app frees up space after an upload lands.
