Daub 4.1 • Selfie mode: flip the live camera and put the circle on your lips, your hair or today's outfit. A 3-second timer and a soft screen light for dim rooms. • Four cuts: four shots in a row become one photo strip, each cut with its color named. Keep it or share it. • Copy as sticker: one tap copies a watercolor chip with the color's name, ready to paste into your story. • Film card: always wallet-sized now. Wide photos are framed around the color you picked, and you can drag to reframe. Make the color bar as thin or thick as you like. • Once a week, save a card in a Pro look for free. Your first selfie card can use any look. • The live camera now reads the color inside the circle, plus smaller fixes.

Daub 4.0 — our biggest update yet. • Five new cards. Instant, set in real photo scenes. Film, a matte titanium card in wallet size that spins. Chip, a paper chip with stickers. Block, with sunlight moving across it. Receipt, a thermal print with a photo booth strip. • 11,000+ color names, matched the way the eye sees. • Extra-vivid colors: Daub now reads the wide (Display P3) colors your iPhone captures — in photos, palettes and the live camera. • Light check: when a photo has warm lamp light or blue shade, fix it with one tap. • Color combinations from Sanzo Wada's Dictionary of Colour Combinations (1933), as posters, right under every color you pick. • One camera: point it at anything and the name changes as you move. Take it, and it becomes your card. • New tabs: Home, Cards, ＋, Paints, Me. • Card only: save just the card, ready for your story. • A diary in color: note how the day feels with one tap when you keep a color. Your month shows your colors and your feelings, side by side. Wednesdays bring a feelings prompt. • Painter's eye: see any photo in only your paints (tap to read the mix), as values (grey, 5, 3, 2 steps), or through other color vision. • Clearer and kinder: simpler words, a four-step tour with tips where you need them, and "how to mix it" for any color you copy. Recipes now come for paper or for screen. • Saved cards now follow your language.

Daub 2.1 • Twelve month cards: each month wears its own design. Save this month's card for free, or pick any of the twelve with Pro. • Look of the Day: find Today's color and this month's card style is yours free until midnight. • iCloud backup: your Book backs itself up to your own iCloud. Delete the app and it all comes back. • Today's color answers no longer count toward the free Book's 20 colors. • No Today's color reminder on days you've already answered. • Pigment codes now come back when you restore a backup.

Daub 2.0 • Home-screen widget: today's color prompt and your week in color, right on your home screen. • Find colors live: point your camera at anything and watch its color get named as you move. • Collections: group your colors across months, like "Autumn wardrobe" or "Studio wall". Each one opens as a board for the piece: your notes, its colors, the paints it needs, and palette export. • Week card: every Sunday-to-Saturday of colors in one free card. • Goes with: three matching colors under every color you pick. • Paint library (Pro): add your tubes by the pigment code on the label (PB29, PY43…) or from Winsor & Newton, Daniel Smith and Golden lines. When your paints can't reach a color, Daub names the one tube that gets you closer. • Truer color under any light: white paper or a grey card (Pro) corrects the whole photo, and Pro keeps that light for your next photos. • Study (Pro): see any photo as 2, 3 or 5 values, in only the paints you own (with the mixes to prepare), or through color-weak eyes. Grid, mirror and squint included. • Export palettes to Procreate and Adobe (Pro). • Back up your whole Book to Files or iCloud Drive, and bring it back any time. • Cards now develop like an instant print, and a quiet "tok-ding" plays when you keep or share (turn it off in Settings). • Now in Japanese.

Daub 1.4 is our biggest update yet. • Video cards: pick a short clip, choose your 6 seconds, and share it as a moving card. • Cards take your photo's shape: nothing gets cropped. Choose Fit, or 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 2:3. • Keep and Make a card now live together, and your card title starts as the color's name. • A new Monthly plan alongside Yearly and Lifetime. • Many small fixes and polish throughout.

Daub 1.2 is all about the cards. • Five new cards, each made to look like something you could hold: Instant, Film, Fan, Ticket and Receipt. • Every card now comes in white or black paper, whatever your phone's theme. • Drag the photo inside a card to frame it exactly how you want. • Today's Color: one prompt a day, the same for everyone. Answer it and the prompt is written on your card. • Flick through your book as a deck of cards. • A new first run: pick a favorite photo and see everything Daub can do with it. • Chip, Stack, Ink and Ground have been retired. Every color you kept is still in your book.

Frame your photo before it becomes a card. Rotate, crop, and choose a ratio. Ground — a new style that fills the whole card with one colour, made to sit behind a story. Plus a 2:3 size for Pinterest. A colour calendar in your book. One square a day, filled with the colour you picked. At the end of a month, turn that month's colours into a single card. An optional evening reminder that asks what colour you saw today.
