New: scan a whole room and every plant gets a pin. Plus birthday reminders for your pets and a Lock Screen widget.
Point your camera at a plant and know, in seconds, whether it's safe for your cat or your dog.
Most plant apps tell you how to water it. This one tells you whether your pet can be in the same room as it.
SCAN A PLANT, OR A WHOLE ROOM
Photograph one plant for a close-up verdict, or point the camera at the whole room and every plant in the shot gets its own pin, colour-coded by how dangerous it is.
A VERDICT FOR EACH OF YOUR PETS, BY NAME
Cats and dogs react to different plants. Add your pets, and every result shows their faces with their own answer beside them: Safe, Mild, Moderate, Severe or Critical. No guessing which warning applies to whom.
636 PLANTS, OFFLINE
Toxic and non-toxic plants from the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center's published lists, with severity grades, the symptoms to watch for and which parts are dangerous. The whole library works with no signal.
MAP YOUR HOME
Save each plant to the room it lives in. Your home becomes a map: "Living room, 2 dangerous, 5 safe." You know which shelf is the problem.
WHEN THEY'VE ALREADY EATEN IT
The emergency guide asks what, when, and what you're seeing, then gives you a plan: call now or watch, the symptoms to expect from that specific plant, what not to do, and one tap to poison control or your own vet.
ALSO INSIDE
· Search by symptom, and work backwards from what you're seeing
· Safer swaps: non-toxic plants that look like the one you have to move
· Ask about bouquets, gardens and "is this one okay?"
· Birthday reminders for your pets
· A Lock Screen widget: your home's status, seasonal warnings, birthday countdowns
· Seasonal alerts, because lilies at Easter kill cats and most owners don't know
WHY IT MATTERS
It only takes one. A single lily, even the pollen in the vase water, can cause fatal kidney failure in a cat. 16 of the 20 most common houseplants are toxic to cats or dogs.
Toxic Plants is not a veterinarian. Identifications can be wrong and toxicity data can be incomplete. If your pet has eaten any part of a plant, call a vet or animal poison control right away.
