Analyze Adobe Lightroom Classic photos locally, create contextual keywords, find matching images, and build smart collections for faster catalog organization. Shuttergrove organizes Lightroom Classic catalogs with local, on-device photo analysis. Adobe Lightroom Classic is required. Shuttergrove does not work with Lightroom’s cloud catalog. Analyze your catalog locally - Scan existing catalog photos and automatically analyze new imports while Lightroom Classic is running. - Classify photos into 40 photography types, including Landscape, Seascape, Cityscape, Portrait, Street, Architecture, Wildlife, Product, Macro, and more. - Optionally detect visible content such as mountains, rivers, bridges, buildings, cars, people, and oceans. - Configure confidence and content thresholds so only qualifying results are written. - Pause, resume, or re-scan analysis. Progress can continue across app restarts and Lightroom Classic lifecycle changes. Keep Lightroom organized - Automatically writes accepted classifications as Shuttergrove-generated Type: and Content: keywords. - Creates localized smart collections for photography types inside a Shuttergrove collection set. - Reanalysis replaces only Shuttergrove-generated keywords. Existing manually created Lightroom keywords are preserved. - Content keywords and photography-type keywords remain separate. Content keywords do not create smart collections. Find photos faster - Open the Shuttergrove Content interface from Lightroom Classic or with a system-wide keyboard shortcut. - Browse content keywords assigned to Shuttergrove-managed photos. - Select a keyword to apply Lightroom’s exact Library Filter Bar keyword filter and show matching photos. Private by design - Photo analysis runs entirely on your Mac using models bundled with the app. - Photos and photo paths are not uploaded to a cloud service. - No account, cloud processing, permanent local server, or second photo database is required. - Requests, results, settings, cache data, and logs remain local. - Lightroom Classic remains the source of truth for catalog keywords and smart collections. Built for a lightweight workflow - Runs from the macOS menu bar. - Installs and version-checks the Shuttergrove Lightroom Classic plugin. - Shows Lightroom and plugin readiness, analysis status, processed and remaining counts, and estimated time remaining. - Records unreadable photos, model failures, and catalog write failures without blocking the rest of the queue. - Available in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish.
