Drop Studio 2.0 • Out of credits? The screen now shows exactly what you were making — and once you have paid, one tap makes it. Nothing is spent until you tap. • A clearer Pro page: your weekly credits, the price you pay today and after, the renewal terms, and Restore Purchases in plain sight. • After you subscribe, a short welcome shows what your week holds and puts your next step one tap away. • Your plan in Settings now says when auto-renew is off, and you can rate Drop Studio from there. • The free weekly credits are gone: photographs are made with Pro or with a credit pack. Everything you have already made stays yours.

One photo, on the order. • No selfie album at the door. The app used to ask for three to eight pictures of your face before you had seen what it does. Now you pick a theme first and add one photo on the order screen, where you can see which picture your photographs will be made from — and change it. • A photo that will not work says why. Out of focus, too dark, face too small: you get the reason and a way to pick another, before anything is charged. • Clips are ten seconds now, up from five. Long enough for the thing that happens after the thing that happens. • Order photographs that move. A theme sells two things: photographs, or photographs that arrive with a clip of themselves. • Order one photograph if that is all you want. The minimum was two. • Softer edges on the buttons and sheets. The photographs stay square — they are pictures, not interface. • Credits are reachable from Settings, not only from the gallery.

Photographs that move. • Live Photos. Any photograph can now be brought to life — five seconds of real movement, written for that particular scene rather than a generic drift. The clip is kept beside the still, both are yours to save, and one photograph can hold more than one take. • The two things worth paying for are now the two big buttons. Live Photo and 4K sat in small grey print under Save and Share; they have swapped places, and each says what it costs before you touch it. • A clip has its own tile. Four photographs and one clip is five things in your studio, not four with one of them quietly replaced. • A new theme: Old Family. A late-seventies album — Christmas in the good front room, the back garden in a heatwave, the car loaded on the drive. City Rain has closed to make room for it. • Sharper 4K. An upscale now comes back at 7168 × 9600. • Every scene now says how close the camera should stand, so a wide shot stays wide and your face still reads as yours.

Credits, and a 4K button. • Any photograph can now be made 4K from the photo viewer. It comes back at 4928 × 6592 — sharp enough to print, and yours to save. • Credits keep you going past your weekly plan. Buy a pack once and spend it on extra photographs, or on 4K versions of the ones you already have. They never expire. A subscriber's week pays first, so a Pro week still costs you nothing. • Order the same theme more than once. The second set is photographed somewhere else — every theme now holds twenty scenes instead of four, and you are never handed a room you have already been in. • Free photographs add up now. Two arrive each week and wait for you, up to four in hand, so a fortnight away means a set of four rather than two that lapsed. • Fixed: deleting your account from Settings.

Every theme now takes you somewhere different. Ask Retro 80s for four photographs and you get four places — the arcade, the roller rink, the mall atrium, the diner booth. Same decade, same light, same film stock. A different corner of it each time. Fixed • Subscribers were shown the subscription screen after adding their selfies. They are not any more. • A photograph that fails to generate no longer counts against your week.
