ZeroBars moves messages phone-to-phone over a Bluetooth mesh. When there is no signal, there are still bars. No internet, no servers, no accounts, no phone numbers. Your words travel directly between nearby devices — and phones in between quietly carry sealed messages closer to the people they're for. WHEN THE CROWD BREAKS THE NETWORK Festivals, theme parks, stadiums, conventions: towers overload exactly when you need to find your people. ZeroBars gets stronger as the crowd gets denser. WHEN THERE'S NO NETWORK WHERE YOU ARE Campsites, ski hills, cottages, trails, cruise ships, planes, trips abroad without roaming — your group keeps talking without a single bar. NO PLAN? NO PROBLEM Wifi-only tablets and hand-me-down phones get real messaging with no SIM, no number, no account — and nobody beyond radio range can ever reach them. WHEN THE NETWORK DIES Storms and outages take the internet down when it matters most. Teams that install ZeroBars ahead of time keep a channel that lives entirely on the phones they already carry. • Private messages, end-to-end encrypted (Noise protocol) • Groups you join by scanning a QR code — encrypted to the group • A public nearby channel for everyone in radio range • Verify people face-to-face with a QR ceremony • Honest delivery receipts: sent, delivered, read • Panic wipe: one action erases everything Plain talk about what ZeroBars does NOT do: it does not make you anonymous (nearby radios can tell a device is present), the public channel is readable by anyone in range, and carried messages are encrypted but without forward secrecy for stored copies. Full details in our privacy policy and threat model. Get your crew on it before you head out — one QR scan puts everyone in the group.

Fixes for long messages that travel through other phones: • A long message whose last piece arrived late, relayed by another phone, could be put back together and then never appear. It now shows. • A phone no longer asks the mesh every 30 seconds for a long message it already has. Under the hood, the messaging engine was reorganized for upcoming features. Nothing changes on the air: 1.0.2 phones and this version talk to each other as before.
