The game is now fully translated into 11 languages. The whole game now reads in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. Korean has its own clear font, and Japanese uses your device's font so the kanji look right. Long words fit their buttons, your finishing place reads right in every language, and the race setup's track default option is translated too.

City battles, an easier track builder and iPhone Duo support. Lay a city in the track builder and battle in it: bring buildings and freeway bridges down on rivals, grab loot crates, hit the ramps and jumps, and play CRUSHTOWN, where buildings go unstable every 40 seconds. Rubble stays where it falls and you can drive over it. The builder is easier, with a quick start, short lessons and tips. Trees, palms and bushes are rebuilt in finer voxels. The game fits the iPhone Duo, folded or open.

Wrecked in a race? You are back in 3 seconds with a shield up, and the race goes on. Mini-turbo tiers, and comeback crates when you fall behind. Track Builder: trace any circuit shape and race it. Battle royale arena creator: a live preview of what the race will build, and a real Generate. New engine sound, real crash sounds instead of scraping, and a boost you can hear rev. A redesigned garage, and about 200 MB less memory used.

This update targets the black screen some iPhone and iPad players are seeing. The game now draws without its visual effects layer on Apple devices. The cars, tracks, lighting and shadows are all unchanged — what is switched off is bloom, colour grading and image sharpening, because that layer is the only part that could be causing the blank screen and it is not worth the game being unplayable. If you still see a black or partly drawn screen, please send a bug report from Settings > Support. The report now includes a small picture of what your screen was showing, which tells us exactly what is going wrong. Also included: the HOW TO PLAY screen can now be closed, and the layout is fixed on phones with a camera cutout when held sideways.
