You're a records clerk at a law firm. A phone from 2019 has come in as evidence: texts, photos, notes, a call log, a recording. Most of it was recovered. Some of it wasn't. Your boss wants two pages on what happened the night of April 13.
READ THE PHONE
Scroll her messages, her camera roll and her notes the way you would on any phone. Check the times. Notice who stops answering.
WRITE THE MEMO
Fill in what happened, one blank at a time, from what you found. Send a draft and your boss tells you how many answers are wrong. Never which.
TEXT THE PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE
They're adults now. Some will talk to you. One will block you. They answer in real time, in minutes or hours, so put the phone down and come back.
