Investment Fund Tycoon is a pixel-art business simulation in the spirit of the classic dev-studio tycoons, set in the world of money. Start alone at one desk, hire a team, and grow a tiny fund into a billion-dollar name. It is deliberately slow: a game year takes about fifteen minutes, decisions matter, and you learn by getting things wrong. RESEARCH COMPANIES LIKE A PRO Every company has a real profile: a year of price history, eight quarters of revenue and profit, growth, margins, valuation against its sector, debt, and two paragraphs about the business and its technology. Hidden traits drive what really happens, and the numbers leak hints. A company that beats every quarter with eerily smooth results might be cooking the books. Read carefully, or pay your analysts to dig. DESIGN YOUR OWN FUNDS From chapter three you package your research into fund products. Pick a theme, a style and an audience, tune three build phases, choose your holdings, and launch. A rating desk scores it from one to five stars and tells you why. Some combinations sing, some flop, and the market keeps moving: themes rise and fade, styles go in and out of favour. Learning the chemistry is the game. BUILD A TEAM Analysts scout private leads and run due diligence. Marketers bring investors. Relations staff keep them calm in a downturn. Traders cut your costs. A compliance officer opens the door to institutions. Your people gain experience, earn promotions, get poached, burn out, and sometimes ask to run a fund of their own. SURVIVE THE MARKET Bull runs, bubbles, crashes and recoveries. Investors panic when the fund draws down, and if withdrawals outrun your cash your holdings get fire-sold. Manage the reserve, gate the fund in an emergency, and keep the firm's own cash above zero: three months in the red and the landlord changes the locks. TEMPTATION Sometimes a contact slides you a folder. Everything in it is true, and it is a crime. The heat rises, the regulator probes, and a second probe ends everything. GROW UP Five chapters unlock the game piece by piece with a built-in walkthrough. Research points from every trade open new markets, themes, styles, audiences and tools. Achievements reward the way you play. Milestones at ten, fifty, two hundred and fifty million and a billion dollars, with bigger offices along the way. A LIVING OFFICE Watch your team work, wander for coffee, and walk out the door to scout. Tap anyone for a word. The weather in the windows tells you what the market is doing.
