Find out where your disk space went — caches, developer leftovers, forgotten downloads, duplicates — and get it back without deleting a single file yourself. Spacemaker shows you exactly where the space on your Mac goes and helps you take it back — safely. Nothing is ever deleted outright: everything you pick lands in a Review Queue, and one confirmation moves it to the Trash, where Finder can still restore it. WHAT IT FINDS • Junk & Caches — Xcode DerivedData, archives and device-support symbols, every iOS Simulator device, Claude Code and Claude desktop data, VS Code and Cursor caches, npm, pnpm, yarn, bun, pip, uv, Poetry, conda, Homebrew, Gradle, Maven, Cargo, Go, CocoaPods, SwiftPM and Playwright caches, per-app caches and logs, crash reports, iPhone backups, Docker, Colima, OrbStack, UTM and Parallels images — each labelled Safe to remove, Check first, or Review only. • Developer Projects — every coding project inside the folders you choose (Node, Python, Swift/Xcode, Rust, Go, Java/Kotlin, .NET, Ruby) with source vs. Git vs. regenerable size, so you can drop node_modules, virtual environments and build folders you can rebuild in seconds. • Disk Explorer — a size-sorted tree of any folder; drill down to the folders that matter. • Large & Old Files — everything above a threshold with the date you last opened it; filter by age and type (archives, video, images, documents, disk images, data and models). • Duplicates — byte-for-byte identical files, verified with a full content hash, with the oldest copy suggested as the one to keep. • Review Queue — one place to see everything you picked, grouped by where it came from, before anything moves. BUILT FOR PRIVACY • Works only inside the folders you choose in the system open panel — normally your Home folder. • No account, no network access, no analytics. Everything is computed on your Mac. • Only ever moves items to the Trash; it never empties it and never deletes permanently. MADE FOR DEVELOPERS AND POWER USERS If you build software, run AI tools or simply download a lot, Spacemaker speaks your language: it knows what DerivedData, .venv, target/ and a simulator runtime are, tells you how to regenerate them, and stays out of the way of things you should manage through their own apps (Mail, Messages, Docker disks). Spacemaker — make space on your Mac.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• Browser caches are found in every profile of Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Vivaldi and Chromium, not just the default one. • Adobe's media caches are listed precisely instead of as one broad Adobe folder. • A new Games section shows Steam and Epic game libraries for review (they are never queued), with their leftover downloads, logs and crash reports. • Ollama and LM Studio logs and update downloads. • Junk & Caches tells you how many local Time Machine snapshots are on your startup disk, with a button to open Time Machine settings. • Duplicates: choose which copy to keep — the oldest, the newest, one outside Downloads, or any copy you click — then queue the rest in one step, with the count and size shown first. Groups whose copies share storage are listed apart, because trashing one of them frees nothing. • Developer Projects: Copy Rebuild Commands gives you a short script that puts a project's dependencies and build folders back — Spacemaker never runs it — using the package manager that really installed them, rebuilding workspaces from their root, and marks dependencies the lockfile has changed since they were installed. • Free space over time — the Overview charts your startup disk's free space for the last 30 days or 12 months (recorded on your Mac while Spacemaker is open) and shows what you moved to the Trash this month; an optional alert in Settings, off until you turn it on, tells you when free space drops below an amount you choose.
