Mac
A FREE fast information app for students and professionals.
It turns PDFs, Word, slides and many other formats into Markdown — then you search, ask, gather, and share.
yourMark converts PDFs, Word files, slides, and spreadsheets into Markdown on this Mac, using Microsoft MarkItDown inside the app.
That is the start, not the whole job: you keep a library, jump by chapter, search, and gather knowledge for study or work.
Send a chapter to the AI you already pay for, or drop the folder into Obsidian, RemNote, or another notes app.
Press Edit to open any Markdown editor you prefer. Photographed pages can use OCR on this Mac, or the OCR app you already have.
Translate files using your Google Translate key (or an Ask AI key).
Keep the original and translation next to each other; they scroll together, great for language learners.
Tag library cards by topic and find information again with these tags.
The app has multiple search and ask functions, basic without an AI key or amplified with it.
You'll love the speed at which everything works. And won't be slowed down by heavy PDFs.
After all, PDFs were originally meant to send documents to the print shop.
Markdown is the way to go for personal information management, it's also the preferred format to make AI work for you.
